Property Description

A comfortable 2 bedroom house in a village location, with heated swimming pool, games room and extensive gardens. The house overlooks the Marais and is only a 20 minute drive from the lovely sandy beaches of the southern Vendée.

Living Area

The living room has seating for 5 guests and comes complete with TV, DVD, UK & French satellite channels. There is also a laptop with free, secure WiFi internet access. The dining table can seat up to 6 guests. There is also a shared (with 1 other gite) games room which comes complete with Table tennis, Xbox 360, toys, books, DVD library and beach toys. The master bedroom also has space for up to 2 single beds for larger families. The 2nd bedroom has full-sized bunkbeds.

Kitchen Facilities

The fully equipped kitchen has an electric cooker, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave, kettle & toaster. There is enough cutlery & crockery for up to 6 guests - along with plastic utensils for younger children.

Outside

There is a private decked area with tables & chairs and a BBQ, overlooking the gardens and with views across the valley below. There is plenty of parking on our gravel courtyard and this is next to a lawned area. There is also a boules courts. The garden then leads on to the 12m x 8m heated swimming pool. This overlooks the lower gardens where you will find a fruit & vegetable garden, along with a large lawned garden with swings for the children.

The house is very child-friendly, with a cot, high chair, cutlery, crockery and many toys & games available in the games room.

Local Activities

The house is 20 minutes away from the sandy beaches of the Southern Vendée.
We are also only 40 minutes from La Rochelle and 1 hour from the theme parks of Futuroscope and Puy du Fou.
For the adventurous, there is the Indian Park, where you can swing through the trees or tightrope walk!
The Marais Poitevin is only 50 minutes away for a relaxing day out on the canals.

Other Information

We are open throughout the year. Our changeover day is Saturday n high & peak season, but we can be more flexible off-season.
