Property Description

The gîte is situated in the hamlet of Palaizot in the commune of Chissey-en-Morvan. Palaizot is in the department of Saône-et-Loire. The river Ternin, bordered by green meadows, flows southwards down the valley past the hamlet. The hamlet nestles against the south facing side of the valley and is ringed all around by the wooded hills of the Morvan. A pleasant hamlet in an idyllic situation.

In the country- side immediately surrounding the gîte there are many walks on footpaths and track ways these allow ample opportunity to observe the local plants and animals in their natural environ- ment. For those wishing to sample the pleasures of the vineyards, the historic towns and villages of Burgundy, Palaizot is ideally situated. The shopping centres of Saulieu and Autun are within easy driving distance. The gîte is a small house that will comfortably accommodate two to three people. There is ample off road parking in a totally enclosed garden.

Kitchen Facilities

Fitted corner kitchen with hob, microwave/oven, mini cooker, double sink and all the usual electrical equipement you would have at home.

Fully fenced garden with views over the heavily wooded hills and fields. Terrace with cast iron furniture and is nicely shaded by a large attractive bi-coloured tree. There is hard standing for the car at the front of the cottage.

Suitability

The hamlet of Palaizot is a tiny place and is ideal for nature lovers and ramblers, lovely walks right from the doorstep, also fishing in the river Ternin although it is fairly shallow it seems to team with life.

Local Activities

Lac des Settons is only 26 kilometers away and here you can swim, jet ski, boat and pedalo rides and many other water sports.
