Property Description

El Romeral is a restaurant/ casa rural in the heart of the Valencian Mountains just 20 minutes from several award winning beaches and situated on the edge of a national park. Green and lush, we enjoy the best of all worlds - pure mountain air and spring water from the font, the best Valencian traditional cooking, cooked by masters with over 50 years experience, live music, a busy bustling bar and of course tranquility when you stay with us in one of our eight poolside guest suites.

If you love the countryside, then we've got it all here for you - many published walks abound, cycling (road and mountain biking) and rock climbing can be found in abundance here. Horse riding enthusiasts and quad bikers are also catered for as are the tranquility-seekers. For those wanting a bit of pizazz, fear not! were only 60 minutes from Benidorm and water parks galore - we're even 2.5 hrs. from skiing resorts too, so it really doesn't get any better if you want variety.

The best the region has to offer - there's good reason the Spanish travel 50 miles to eat at our restaurant and spend the day by the pool - not to mention the ex-pats and the Madrellenos (Madrid) - why not ask them when you're here!

Living Area

We have 8 poolside guest rooms. Consisting of 4 double bedrooms, 3 twin bedrooms and 1 family room which sleeps 4. Fresh linen and towels are provided as well as hairdryer and air con fan for the hotter evenings.

Kitchen Facilities

El Romeral is a large facility with full menu service throughout the day. We have a large bar with a 52 high definition flat screen tv with sky - something for everybody. There is a large pool which is south facing our beautiful mountains which are directly opposite absolutely breathtaking. For the evenings we have a large BBQ and terrace where fresh meat and fish of the day are cooked to your requirements. We are a family run business and children are very important to us so we cater for them too with a kid friendly menu

Gandia area

Sightseeing and shopping in Gandia Spain

Gandia Spain lies about 100 km north of Alicante along the Costa Blanca. With about 55 000 citizens Gandia is one of the largest cities around the area.

With near endless fields of orange trees around, Gandia is somewhat the center of agriculture for the area. Together with a large fishing business due to its harbor, the city also offers very interesting places to visit. Due to the fact that most of Gandia's city center is full with palm tree promenades with bars, restaurants and shops, it is also a wonderful place for a shopping tour.

Being one of the largest cities around, Gandia attracts many tourists just for shopping. With a huge shopping mall area outside of Gandia, major supermarkets and stores can be found. (Carrefour or Aldi just to name a few.)

Apart from shopping for daily needs, Gandia is also an interesting place for sightseeing holidays. One major tourist attraction is the Palace of Santo Duque just at one end of the old city center. The building, with many different influences over the past centuries, is famous for its patio de las armas and a huge stairway. It has been declared a Spanish national monument. Really worth a visit.

In addition, while you are in Gandia, you might want to visit the church La Colegiata at the plaza de la constitucion and the old university building Antigua Universidad. A little bit to the south of Gandia you find the city of Oliva with a beautiful old town center, which you should also visit.

The beach of Gandia

One main attraction of Gandia is its sandy beach. With a length of about 11 km it is the attraction, particularly for tourists from Spain or other counties. With a Gandia weather of sometimes over 40 in summer, it is one of the best places to be on a hot summers day. To sum it up, if you want to find a lovely city with a great mix of shopping, sightseeing and beach, then Gandia is a wonderful choice.
