Notes on accommodation
The villa is set on 3 floors. Each one is linked by a staircase but totally private.
It is ideal for 6 couples, 3 families, parents grandparents and children of a large family so all can have private areas and sleeping and eating facilities but also join together on the ground floor or terrace to eat together.
Children can play safely in the pool which is designed for safety with a large shallow area Theree is outside large barbecue and terrace. Gardens are extensive. There is a raised cushioned seating area at the rear which all guests love to chill out in reading a book or drinking champagne, cool in the morning and warm at the end of the day. The front terrace is warm in the morning and cool at the end of the day. There are also fishing rods, a video library and some pool noodles. All rooms are air conditioned.

Accessibility
The Dalyanjewel is fine for elderly and children with ground floor double and twin bedrooms with en suite.
Outside
Dalyanjewel: Outside barbecue and terrace plus private pool and seating for 10. The sunbeds all have cushion covers and the garden is huge with palm trees etc. Peaceful and relaxing and not directly overlooked front or back.

Area Description

Coast/Beach
The beach is a protected area and the village is on a river between the Koycheciz lake and the Turtle beach (voted in the top ten beaches of the world). A river boat taxi runs all the time from the harbour to the beach 4km or you can take a cheap dolmus by road 11km. A superb day is to take a boat across the lake to the local market at Koycheciz and after visit the mud baths and sulphur spring sand. Eat at the restaurant or have your own barbecue on the boat and a swim in the lake.

Golf
Oct 2010, Hilton Hotel golf course, 30 mins to 27 hole golf course.

Skiing
There is a new ski centre at Seki which is less than 2 hours away so you can both ski and sunbathe in the winter on the same day.

Special interest holidays
The area is a world heritage site and famous as the breeding ground to the giant Carretta Carretta turtle. It is also the home of hundreds of birds including sea eagles and kingfishers and a stork wildlife sanctuary. I can arrange all activities from cycling (2 cycles provided for guests) horse riding, gulet cruises, snorkeling, fishing, scuba, white water rafting etc. The area is also famous as an archeological site of ancient ruins and Lycian cliff tombs and is the home of mud baths and natural sulphur bathing springs. Absolutely loads to do.

Travel
20km form Dalaman airport. Car not essential as the villa is walking distance to the centre where 60 restaurants await and dozens of activities. Car hire locally cheaper than airport. Taxi collection at the airport provided at cost - last year £30 for taxi (4 ppl) £35 for minibus (8 ppl) Just provide flight details when booking.

Distances
1km to village centre and the river. 1km to the lake. The ancient city of Kaunos is just over the river and an absolute must to visit with occasional open air concerts in the amphitheatre. Fethiye and Marmaris are 1 hour and 1 1/2 hours away. Tours to Ephesus and Pamukale available and more local trips in gulets and 4 wheel drive safaris etc.

Further details
There is a small store 150m from the villa and 3 larger supermarkets in the village at 0.5 kms and 1 km away. Restaurants and shops abound all over with over 60 eating establishments to choose from ranging from cheap Pide bars to classy riverside restaurants serving fish specialties and every conceivable type of Meze. The local bank has a cash machine and 2 others on the high street. Saturday has the local market which is great to buy cheap provisions and fresh produce. Leather and jewelry are cheap and of the highest quality but be sure to bargain. All clothes are great value.
