Property Description

Casa Rona is situated 2 kilometres in the beautiful mountains behind the village of Jalon. From the upper terrace you can take in breath-taking views of the valley, whilst from the lower terrace enjoy an enjoyable swim in the pool.

The villa, which is furnished to a high standard comprises of a lounge / dining area with patio doorss leading out to large partially covered terrace overlooking the pool. Fully equipped, modern American style kitchen with breakfast bar. Two double bedrooms, one with ensuite shower room, twin bedroom and separate bathroom. Log burner for winter lets.

8 x 4 metre pool, with areas of privacy for sunbathing. Enjoy " Al Fresco " cooking courtesy of the stone barbeque, accessible from the kitchen entrance with covered eating area. 5 minute drive to Jalon where you will find restaurants / bars / shops in abundance. Only 15 mins drive to the beach.

Area Description

The Jalon valley is a walker's paradise, with routes ranging from a very gentle stroll to a six hour walk around the Sierra Bernia mountains to the south of Jalon. You may even like to take a trek through the vineyards on horseback, from one of the local stables. In late January the whole of the valley is obscured with almond blossom. One can only describe the view as a magnificent blanket of pink and white.

For your entertainment the valley boasts nearly 50 restaurants, bars, shops and open markets, with many activities in the valley or on the coast or to just laze about by the pool in your own private villa.

The small town of Jalon, situated in the beautiful ?Valle de Pop? is the main centre with 5 other villages spread down the valley.
Jalon is famous for its sausages, markets of which the most famous is the ?Rastro? held every Saturday where you can buy (or sell) anything. There are the usual sports centres, tennis courts and gymnasiums, and Jalon is a famous centre and start point for walking excursions from the gentle to the strenuous.

The valley boasts some 50 restaurants, with many bars and cafes with the new Bar Lluna Llunera, in the new Jalon square a must visit. There are bodegas as this is a wine valley, as there are orchards of almonds and oranges at the far end of the valley. There are many shops ranging from the old fashioned Spanish to the modern new technology shops, and supermarkets.

The valley is the central point of the peninsula and Jalon is equidistant and about 15 minutes drive from Calpe and 25 minutes from the seaside resorts of Denia, Javea, Moraira, and Altea, with Benidorm about 15 mins further south. At all of these places, as well as famous Blue Flag beaches complete with all forms of watersports there are more shops, bars and restaurants. In addition to these there is the superb waterpark and theme parks at Benidorm, trips to the fabulous futuristic city of Valencia, Flamenco dancing show at Oliva, Horseriding at Benissa, local trips to the mountain village of Guadalest, and a fabulous new shopping centre just opened in Ondara, or of course the favourite pastime of lounging round your own private pool taking the sun and tasting the wine.
