Property Description
Quinta Santo Antonio restoration to its former glory was finally completed in 2010 and our first guests gave it a five star rating! The manor house was named after the Lisbon's favourite Saint; you will find within the private grounds many allusions to Santo Antonio, as well as ancient structures such as arches and wells. The villa was sympatetically restored, retaining its authenticity and providing a luxurious setting for an unforgettable holiday. The villa is a fine example of traditional Portuguese architecture. The main entrance to Quinta Santo Antonio is via a spacious entrance hall. To the left, and separated by glass doors, the vast living room is found with a lovely encased fireplace providing the focal point. This glorious room has 6 separate French doors opening to the gardens in 3 different directions: whatever the time of day, light is pouring through! There is an ample seating area for 12 people. The dining area has a large table for 10; the modern functional kitchen also connect to the garden. A large TV with Satellite channels, DVD player and Stereo is provided for the entertainment of guests. Also accessed from the main hall, a guest toilet is found. A majestic staircase leads to the upstairs floor where all the bedrooms are situated. The main spacious suite connects to another room with bunk beds. From there, the en-suite marble bathroom has a bath and separate shower. There is another bedroom with 3 single beds and en-suite bathroom; the fourth bedroom has a double bed and single bed and its en-suite bathroom too. There is an additonal put-up single bed. Outside the beautiful landscaped gardens provide many relaxing moments. Many ruins have been preserved and incorporated into the garden landscaping, making this a very special place. Garden furniture and a barbecue are provided for "al-fresco" meals. There is a spearate outbuilding with laundry facilities and garage. The beautiful secluded private swimming pool of Villa Santo Antonio is the ideal setting for hours of fun or simply reading a book. The pool has its own pool house.
