Property Description

Guests enter Marisombra through the wrought iron gates

leading into the walled inner courtyard and pool area. The

design of Marisombra encourages outdoor living space,

with a patio dining room and lots of open terrace with

hammocks and rockers.

The air conditioned living/kitchen area faces toward the patio

(with views to the ocean as well) as do the three air

conditioned bedrooms on the first floor. The Master

Bedroom(air conditioned) on the second floor opens onto a

spacious terrace with views toward the ocean and the inner

courtyard; it also enjoys its own private balcony toward the

Pacific. Sit inside the circular tower to enjoy the sounds and

breezes from the ocean or climb to the third story of the

tower and be at eye level with the howler monkeys.

Close to the beach but nestled under the forest canopy,

Marisombra guests will have the best of both Sea and Shade.

Handmade mahogany doors, windows, cabinets

and furniture; ceiling fans and Moroccan chandeliers; a

waterspout, tiled chess board and volleyball net in the pool;

dining room al fresco; circular turret style staircase to the

second floor terrace; locally made banana fiber couch and

chairs; and many more details make this a house

unlike any other.

Marisombra is located in the gated community of Hacienda

Iguana, so guests enjoy privileges as members, including

the 9 hole course and Golf Clubhouse. The protected

community encourages wildlife, including iguanas, howlers,

and leatherback turtles who lay their eggs on our beach in

season.

Only 50 yards from the white sand Playa Iguana

on the Pacific Ocean, surfers will enjoy the world

class breaks of Colorado (100yards south)

and Panga Drops (300 yards north).

Living Area

The MASTER BEDROOM on the second floor opens onto a spacious open air terrace with views toward the Pacific and overlooking the inner courtyard and pool. It has a private balcony toward the beach. This bedroom has a Queen bed, private bath, keypad safe, AC and overhead fan. The SECOND BEDROOM opens onto the inner courtyard at pool level. It has a Queen bed, private bath, AC and overhead fan. The CASITA is located at the east end of the courtyard and is at pool level. It has a Queen bed, private bath and AC. The BUNK ROOM has 2 bunk beds sleeping up to 4. Guests in this room use the pool shower and bathroom located just next door. Sheets and towels provided including pool towels. Maid service included. Laundry service included

Kitchen Facilities

Marisombra has a fully equipped KITCHEN with utensils and silverware for up to 10 guests. Refrigerator and freezer , oven and stove. microwave, blender, toaster, coffeepot. Bottled water delivered to the house. Housekeeper will cook upon request. Full catering available at extra charge. The LIVING AREA has TV, DVD, CD player. Cell phone ( with international calling ability) provided for use on the premises. NO SMOKING or the use of recreational drugs is permitted anywhere on the premises. Dine inside or in the outside DINIING ROOM next to the pool and under the palm rancho.

The large POOL has a sunken table with a tiled inset chess board, volleyball net and waterspout. Rocking chairs and hammocks on the pool terrace and the second story terrace encourage lounging. With a view of the water, the circular Tower has an exotic atmosphere whether at the second floor level or up in the forest canopy at the third story level. Pool shower and pool bathroom.
