Almerida is one of the best family resorts in Crete - full of life yet not rowdy, with a dozen tavernas all with home cooking, facing onto the famous Blue Flag sandy beach which children adore for paddling and crabbing, and adults love because they can easily keep an eye on the kids without moving from their favourite restaurant. For night owls, some bars turn into discos later on, plus the famous Atlantis Bar which is the ideal place to have fun until the early morning hours.
