Property Description
Dorodgne,villa,private pool,family,pets,Bergerac
Your own villa with private pool amidst beautiful rolling countryside, in the heart of the Dordogne, an ideal base to explore all that the region has to offer. Visit the historic sites and chateaux, sample the gastronomy and some of the finest wine from Bergerac and Bordeaux. With a host of activities, events and festivals throughout the summer. Probably one of the best regions of France with an unspoilt landscape, charming medieval stone villages, some spectacular scenery and a pleasant climate.
Set within landscaped gardens and woodland, Campagnac Villa has spacious and comfortable modern accommodation with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Approached by a small lane winding up from the valley through the woods, the property offers total peace and tranquillity.
For fresh bread and morning croissants the local village with, a few shops including baker, butcher and organic grocery store is a five minute drive, for everything else supermarkets and tourist office the market town is 14 minutes away.
You can enjoy eating in, dining al-fresco or choose one of the local and inexpensive restaurants. For that special gourmet meal you should discover the restaurant Le Lion d’Or in the nearby village of Manzac-sur-Vern. Here you may enjoy a wonderful meal dining out on the terrace and at a very reasonable price. The Perigord is renowned for it's gastronomy and is the best value for money in the whole of France.
Staying at the villa affords the perfect opportunity to relax and unwind. Enjoy the relaxed pace of life, browse around the local markets and take in the scenic countryside and wild life. For the more energetic take a day out to canoe down the Dordogne, a pony trek through the forest paths or a river trip on a traditional flat bottomed gabare (ancient sailing barge).
The villa is located close to the end of the lane which becomes a track, so no passing traffic, very safe and quiet. It is difficult to convey everything about the villa, here is what one guest said…”Campagnac Villa is a little gem. Furnished to a high standard but more importantly it feels like a very classy home from home. The thoughtfulness of the owners into what people might sensibly want whilst staying there shows an insight into how to give people a great holiday……Bergerac isn’t far, with a range of eateries, boat rides on the gabares and so on, and the whole of the Dordogne is accessible really quickly. All in all, Campagnac ticked all of our boxes,…..”
