Perched on a hill in the centre of Parlatuvier, self-catering Tamarind House villa provides breathtaking, uninterrupted views of both the oldest protected rain forest in the Western hemisphere and one of the most attractive beaches along Tobago?s Caribbean coastline. Completed in April 2007 the rental villa with separate apartment is a thoughtfully designed and constructed log house. It is a perfect holiday retreat. From the verandas, pool, terrace and garden, guests can relax and watch the day go by - fishing boats leaving early and arriving with the catch mid afternoon, the daily migration of orange winged parrots, cocricos, egrets and corn birds to and from their favourite roosts, and much more besides. With the beach an easy stroll of 4 or 5 minutes away there is ample opportunity to swim and snorkel amongst coral reefs fringing the beach.

Tamarind House Apartment (below main villa) consists of:- 1 twin bedroom with separate bathroom. Living area with fully equipped kitchenette and queen size futon sofa-bed. The apartment opens onto the garden and pool area with terrace, gazebo, pool furniture, hammock, wet bar and gas barbecue/grill.

All Bedrooms are air-conditioned and have en-suite shower rooms and toilet. Bedrooms 1 and 2 open onto a veranda with stunning views overlooking the bay.

Notes: In addition to Tamarind House villa (upper level) which sleeps 6 people in 3 bedrooms, we can also offer for rent Tamarind House apartment which is situated beneath the villa and offers accommodation for a further 2 - 4 people. Guests have the choice of renting the entire property, including the apartment, the main villa without the apartment, or the apartment on its own. If both the villa and apartment are required by the same family or group, we will be prepared to negotiate a reduced rate.

Additional information about rental rates

The rental rate quoted includes use of main house only. There is also an apartment beneath which accommodates two people in a spacious twin bedded room with the optional use of a queen size Futon style sofa-bed situated in open plan living area. There is a separate shower room. The apartment is advertised separately at an additional rate which is negotiable if both properties are required. if not required this will remain unoccupied during your stay.

These rates include:

? Exclusive use of Tamarind House garden and pool
TERMS:

50% payable on acceptance of the booking ? balance payable 6 weeks prior to arrival. (In the event of a cancellation a refund will be possible only if we are able to replace the booking)

A damage deposit of £150 payable at time of deposit. This will be refunded to your account, less any deduction for damages, at end of the rental period.
Additional services provided at clients expense: Taxi or hire car to and from the airport. Shopping for groceries and delivery to house prior to arrival (your personal shopping list to be provided two weeks prior to arrival)
Cooked meal on arrival. Additional maid services depending on individual requirements. Telephone calls made from the house phone.

Area Description

The spectacular fishing village of Parlatuvier is just a 40 km drive from Crown Point Airport, up along the picturesque North Coast road. This working village has a perfect crescent shaped beach curving away towards pretty pastel beach houses, a small elementary school, a few tiny shops, a rum parlour and breathtaking views. Set against a backdrop of stunning tropical rain forest Parlatuvier is Caribbean village life at its simplest. On either side of Parlatuvier are the villages of Castara, Englishman?s Bay and Bloody Bay, each with their own beautiful beaches and a variety of restaurants and small shops. Fresh fish can be bought most days from the jetty in Parlatuvier and at the fishermen?s cooperative in Castara. Bird watching, rain forest walks, boat trips, fishing trips, snorkeling and scuba diving are just a few of activities that can be found within the village or just a short drive away. In Parlatuvier, a unique and memorable tropical island experience is awaiting you.
