Area Description

For basking in warm sun, settling into a more tranquil pace of life, relaxing by clear, sandy beaches or enjoying verdant country walks and picturesque towns, there?s only one choice ? Menorca.

As the least commercialised of the Balearics, Menorca has retained its original, charming character and traditional atmosphere whilst welcoming the modern, discerning visitor to enjoy this most unspoilt Mediterranean oasis. Sightseeing is a delight with everything easily accessible along the island, including the rugged, windswept North coast and beautiful bays in the South, all contained in an area which is just some 30 miles long by 15 miles across.

In 1993, Menorca was declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, defining the island is as ?a place of important natural and cultural heritage where economic development is compatible with nature conservation? and Es Grau has been designated a Parc Natural.

You?ll be able to get out and explore stunning natural harbours, discover hidden coves and safe, sandy beaches, whilst choosing from a wealth of excellent restaurants and bars for special nights out.

Menorca is an ideal destination for families and children too. There are safe, sandy beaches and the islanders love children, making them welcome wherever you go.
