Property Description

The beautiful old stone farm house, 'Case de Siquier' dates back to the 17th, century. Located only 10 minutes away from the peaceful town of Santa Margalida in north east Mallorca, it is totally reformed both inside and out to give you the luxurious standards of a modern Mediterranean lifestyle combined with old world charm. This lovely house with its solid stone walls is surrounded by various terraces, gardens, barbecue area and a large 12x6m. Oval swimming pool, to give you that special 'outside living' feeling. The house inside has been re-modeled and decorated to a very high standard with all the comfort and amenities of a home away from home. A new addition is a full size badminton/ volleyball court.

In the main house there is 1 double bedroom on the ground floor, very suitable for those who don't like to climb stairs. If a Saturday is not a good day to arrive we could be a little more flexible with dates - but you have to check with the owners beforehand - low season only

THE HOUSE: Case de Siquier has been carefully designed for comfort and a stress free enviroment The owner is a notable artist who has decorated the house in a classic style to make it one of the most elegant holiday villas in Santa Margalida. Each room is unique with a mixture of modern and antique furniture and artwork on every wall. There are 4 terraces surrounding the house and each one is specifically designated for a different purpose, like the long terrace, used for relaxation and outside dining, with a table large enough for all. Likewise the gardens have been divided to create different aspects and to give you the freedom to enjoy all of them without being confined to only one area. For those who enjoy some exercise we also have a full size badminton court. Sheets and towels are changed every Saturday.

We require a 1/3rd deposit to 'Confirm the Booking' The remainder must be paid 6 weeks before your arrival. Payment by direct transfer, either in pounds sterling or euros.

Area Description

Case de Siquier is only a 10 min. walk to the sleepy village of Santa Margalida, with its main square surrounded by shady plane trees, shops and bars. Its a perfect place to mix with the locals, have a coffee and leave your troubles behind. A 10 min. drive will take you to the beaches of Alcudia bay and the lively coastal resort of Can Picafort, with its heady mixture of shops, restaurants, bars and discos.

ACTIVITIES: There are an abundant of activities and cultural aspects to explore when you rent villas in Santa Margalida. For those culturally minded there are many historic locations from the stone age burials sites of 'Son Baulo' to the roman amphitheatre at 'Alcudia' as well as museums. There is bird watching in the wetlands of 'Albufera'. Horse riding through the woods that border the sea, or go carting for the kids. There are many restaurants locally - for that night out. In the house is a list as well as guide books to the island. We speak fluent Spanish, English and German. So if you need anything - just ask - we are only a phone call away. For those beach lovers there are beaches to suit all tastes, from family to nudist to get away from everybody. you choose and we'll tell you where it is. On no driving days, there is a bus service from the village which connects to the rail service to take you to the big Thursday market in 'Inca', or on to the compact city of 'Palma' with all it's history, shopping, galleries, restaurants. etc.

GOLF & ART: For those golf enthusiasts, there are 2 courses within a 30 min. drive - 'Pollenca' or 'Capdepera'. But seriously the island is not that big that you can't reach all of them within an hour, and it's a lovely way to experience the natural beauty of the landscape. Speaking of art, as is noted, the owner is an artist and next to the house is a large artist's studio for those budding painters to use. Should anyone be interested lessons can be arranged.
