Property Description

Mingulay is a three bedroom Scandinavian log lodge. Set on a south facing elevated site over looking Loch Sunart just outside the Highland village of Strontian.

The Lodge is a comfortable home from home in one of the most scenic areas in the U.K and is ideally placed to tour the western Highlands

Living Area

The living area is a large room with large picture windows flooding the room with light. The seating area is to the front of the room giving you a spectacular view of Loch Sunart and its surrounding mountain. The dining area is to the rear of the room.

The living room has been recently refurbished in such a way to compliment the logs with co-ordinated soft furnishings,art and accessories. You will find a widescreen T.V with sattelite reception , a DVD player and a selection of movies. The living room is also covered by a wifi internet signal which is free for guests to use.

Kitchen Facilities

The kitchen offers all you will need to self cater if you wish. The cupboards are equipped with all you will need. You will find a cooker, fridge freezer, microwave and fully automatic washing machine. Guests will also find a welcome pack of groceries to set them on their way.

Outside

The lodge offers parking above the house so as you gaze from your window you see only the view. The lodge has a lawned area to the front with picnic table. The house also has a veranda which is the perfect spot to enjoy the evening sun.

Local Activities

The Local village which is only 5 mins walk from your lodge will provide all you will need for your stay.

The village has numerous walks and beauty spots, we also boast a multi function venue which hosts plays concerts periodically.

The region of Sunart in which Strontian is located is the doorstep to the Ardnamurchan peninsula one of the last unspoilt regions in the U.K, with moorland,rising sand dunes, and long sandy beaches, dramatic seascapes and views to the islands it is a tour not to be missed

Strontian is very centrally located and many activites can be easily reached. There a several outdoor centres within the region of Lochaber and Oban, one only 20 mins drive form Mingulay.

Shopping can be done in either Fortwilliam or Oban.
