Property Description
As an integral part of a 60-acre working sheep and horse farm, the detached building forms an outcrop off a ten acre wood maintained as a nature reserve and is home to buzzards, kites and badgers. We are nestled 600 feet up on a ridge midway between the Preseli Hills (4m) and Cardigan Bay (3m).
The Little Mill is a charming upside-down house with the bedroom and en-suite bathroom below the kitchen and lounge. All rooms in The Little Mill have attractive exposed wood beams and the windows are double-glazed.
The lounge features a very large panoramic arched window and the original and restored wooden ceiling A-frames. There is a large wooden dining table seating 6, a TV with digital Freeview and DVD player, a wood-burning stove and two large pull-down sofa beds and a single sofa bed. There are electric storage heaters to keep you warm in the cold Welsh winters throughout the building.
The kitchen is fully equipped containing an electric turbo oven with ceramic hobs and ventilator hood, large fridge, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. The downstairs bedroom has a luxurious king-size bed, travel cot and 2 put-u-up beds available. The en-suite bathroom has a bath and shower, constant hot water and a spacious airing cupboard. Please note that the stairs to the bedroom are steep and so anyone with mobility problems may find them difficult.
Outside is a large enclosed private garden with patio and garden furniture consisting of a pine table and chairs and a gas bar-b-cue. There is car parking for up to 3 cars. The Little Mill is 75 yards from the farmhouse.
Bed linen is provided, bath towels and tea towels. Logs can be provided for £3.50 per bag. Pets are very welcome, but please clean up after them.
If you book online you don't need to pay immediately. Simply pay the deposit to the owner. Area Description
The two nearby villages, Felindre Farchog and Nevern, both contain excellent pubs with restaurants.
Nevern is world-famous for its ancient castle and the ?bleeding? yews in the churchyard and has often won the prestigious Pembrokeshire Village of the Year Award.
The town of Newport (5m) has another magnificent castle, a beautiful beach, boat club and golf links as well as being full of exceptional pubs and restaurants.
Cardigan, five miles away, is similarly endowed with the addition of a fine Indian restaurant and takeaway along with supermarkets, shops cafes and Cardigan Castle, the site of the first eisteddfod.
Castell Henllys (5mins by car), is a fully reconstructed stone-age fort theme park staging authentic re-enactments and period barbecues and is a great day out.
