The house is situated in a delightfully quiet street in the oldest part of historic Alhama, and the main square, with its shops, bars and restaurants, is a 2-3 minute walk away.

Alhama de Granada is built on the edge of a gorge (El Tajo), and is described by the Rough Guide to Andalucia as ?one of the unsung gems of Granada province?. It is the perfect location for anyone wishing to experience life in a traditional Spanish town whilst exploring the fantastic countryside around ? the Tajo, the Sierra de Loja, Lake Bermejales. The hot springs, used since Roman times, are just outside town.
In the summer, the pool at Pato Loco, a local hotel, is open to the public. It's particularly quiet on weekdays and is highly recommended.
