Property Description

The tastefully renovated farmhouse offers traditional and comfortable accommodation set in amongst the lemon and orange goves of the Guadalhorce Valley. Standing in its own one acre garden, all the 8 en-suite bedrooms have fabulous views of the surrounding countryside and the old Moorish town of Alora up on the hillside.

Lemontree Farmhouse (8 Bedrooms, Sleeps up to 18)
The house has a large dining room, lounge with open fireplace, bar and separate television room with satellite TV. There is also a large shaded terrace overlooking the garden and swimming pool where meals are generally taken.

Each of the 8 spacious bedrooms have been individually themed, for example, Africa, Egypt, Japan - and all have ensuite facilities comprising of either showers or baths. There are 3 rooms with double beds and four with twin beds.

8 bedrooms - Each of the 8 spacious bedrooms have been individually themed, for example, Africa, Egypt, Japan - and all have ensuite facilities comprising of either showers or baths. There are 3 rooms with double beds, four with twin beds and one single room.

Kitchen - A typical Andalucian kitchen with granite work surfaces and uncovered brickwork. There are three fridges and one freezer. The large cooker has 5 rings and a fan-assisted oven. There is also a microwave, toaster and kettles as well as a dishwasher. Lots of crockery, cutlery and pots and pans

Utility room - This has a large washing machine and separate dryer. There is also an iron and ironing board.

There are ceiling fans in most of the bedrooms. In the winter there is a supply of wood fire and oil-filled electric fires are available if necessary. Due to the fact that the pool is uncovered and quite deep in the shallow end, and the floors in the house are all tiled, we would recommend that Lemontree farmhouse is suitable for infants if attended by an adult at all times.
Please note we have an honesty bar which will be left stocked for your convenience - however, anything used is expected to be replaced!

Accessibility
There is a ramp into the hotel. There is also a down stairs toilet and bed settee.

Outside
The 100 sqm shaded terrace overlooks the garden and 5m x 10m swimming pool. On the terrace there is a large farmhouse table where most meals are taken as well as a 3-seater swing and cane furniture.
There are several private areas in the garden containing either hammocks or swings and behind the pool is a spacious covered, yoga pad. There is also an outside brick barbecue.

Saturday is changeover day however, should guests wish to take advantage of the special offers available with the low-cost airlines - this day is flexible depending on bookings.
A welcome basket is included in the cost of the rental.

Area Description

Coast/Beach
Our nearest beaches are a 25 minute drive away. The lakes at Ardales and El Chorro are also only a 25 minute drive away and there it is possible to swim and make use of the pedaloes etc.

Golf
40 minutes from the golf course at Alhaurin el Grande - 40 minutes from the new golf course at Antequera. The other courses on the coast are only one hour´s drive away.

Skiing
The Sierra Nevada is only one and a half hour´s drive away and can be reached easily by motorway. It is possible to leave here at 8 am and be skiing on the slopes by 10!

Travel
Malaga airport is only 25 minutes drive away and it is possible to hire a car from there. This is highly recommended if you wish to explore the surrounding countryside.

Distances
The nearest town is Pizarra which is only 1.5 kms away.
Granada and the Alhambra Palace is 1.5 hours drive away.
Ronda with its old bullring is 45 minutes away by car.
Seville is 2 hours drive.
Marbella and Puerto Banus 45 minutes drive away.
The local train station of Pizarra has frequent trains running into Malaga and the bus will stop outside.

Further details
There are several large supermarkets in Pizarra stocking most of the items we are accustomed to in the UK. The restaurants offer good, traditional Andalucian fare for a reasonable price and are open until quite late (except on Mondays). There are also several banks in the town with ATM machines.
Horseriding is available and can be booked on request.
Ceramic making and tile painting can also be carried out whilst here on holiday - this also needs to be booked.
There are also several local markets - Pizarra on Thursday but the biggest is held on a Sunday at Cartama Estacion, approximately 13 kms away.
