Property Description

This 400 year old townhouse is situated in one of the quiet, cobbled streets in the old part of Vejer, just a few minuts walk from the Plaza d'Espana. The house has recently been completely renovated and whilst maintaining many of its original features, it is light and spacious with a high quality of fixtures and fittings. There is a beautiful traditional tiled floor throughout and the choice of lighting and furniture give the house a cosy and warm atmosphere. Vejer is a traditional white hilltop town and is a magical place to explore with dozens of tapas bars, narrow strets with patio pots overflowing with flowers. This area is very unspoilt and has not been discovered by mass tourism.

The beaches along this coast are amongst the best in Europe. Miles of golden sand - huge stretches of golden sand that are - weekends aside - virtually deserted. The cost is dotted with small towns with bars and fishrestaurants from where you can watch the kite-and windsurfers. The stunning mountains of Alcarnocales National Parks are nearby and can be explored on foot or mountainbike.

The lounge has a traditional iron-grilled glass door leading onto the patio. There is a t.v/video and music centre. Comfortable seating.

Outside

The house has a fantastic terrace with stunning, uninterrupted views across the countryside towards the coast. On a clear night you can see the twinkling lights of Morocco. A perfect place for a relaxing drink!

Suitability

Suitable for all except those with difficulty walking. The streets of Vejer are cobbled and Vejer is a hilltop town with some steep streets.

Local Activities

Swimming, kite-and windsurfing, surfing, golf (Montenmedio Golf Club is 5 minutes away), horseriding. walking, mountainbiking, cycling. Wind-, kite- and surfing lessons available on the local beach.
Visit Medina Sidonia, Cadiz, Tarifa, Jerez, Seville and Gibraltar. There is a regular ferry service to Tangiers in Morocco (just 30 minutes), which is a great day out. Great tapas bars and restaurants in Vejer or go to Jerez for a flamenco show and visit the famous horse stables.
