Area Description
The vila is in Jalon, for visiting inland the real Spain or only a short drive away from the coastal resorts of Calpe (12 Km.), Moraira (18 Km), Denia (20 Km.), Javea (20 Km) and Benidorm (30 Km). The house has easy car access to the beaches of Calpe, Moraira, Denia and Javea. Alicante Airport is about 70 Km. The nearest beach is about 15 minutes drive to Calpe. This is a long white sandy beach with lots of bars and children's' play areas, there you can find the famous Calpe Rock. Benidorm are just a short drive away offering more attractions such as discos, bars, water parks the theme park of Terra Mitica
Located in the beautiful Pop valley, as the only exception in a rough terrain, is Xalo/Jalon. Its township spreads between the Sierra de la Solana and the Sierra de Bernia, on the boundary of the Marina Baixa.
Although the urban nucleus is fully situated in a valley the majority of the municipal term is spread among the mountains, the highest of which is the Serra de Bernia. Other peaks are the Solana, the Sierra del Ferrer and the Penyo de la Mica. Between mountains and caves, it is a municipality that has adapted to the conditions imposed upon it throughout history. Today it sits happily, shining and laborious between modernity and tradition. Always welcoming visitors who come from all around to visit the village of Xalo/Jalon, especially on Saturdays when, next to the river Xalo/Jalon, one of the most popular antique markets of the Costa Blanca is held.
