Las Tortugas is a spacious and imposing country house, recently completely refurbished to give 4 large bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 2 living rooms, 2 kitchens and a separate dining room.

The location is idyllic for those seeking peace and quiet. It is in a rural setting with wonderful all-round views, notably to the Sierra Cabrera to the south. There are only two near neighbours, both more than 200 metres away. Despite its rural location, Las Tortugas is convenient for the Golf at Valle del Este (just round the corner) and the beaches of Garrucha and Mojacar ten minutes away.

Although there are plenty of activities on offer in the area, many guests find the allure of the pool and the surrounding peace and quiet make it just too hard to make the effort to join the bustle on the beach.

From October to June each floor can be rented as a self-contained apartment with two bedrooms and two bathrooms, sharing the pool and terrace with the other floor. Rental is half the price for the same period in the house.

Living Area

Las Tortugas is ideal for several generations or for two families as it is laid out with two bedrooms, sitting room, dining room and kitchen on the ground floor and two bedrooms and a further large L- shaped sitting room and second kitchen upstairs.

It has a tv and digibox (free to air channels only) in each sitting room to minimise fighting over which programme to watch. But who needs tv when you can sit in the submerged bench at the end of the pool sipping a cool drink as you watch the spectacular sunset.

Kitchen Facilities

Fully fitted kitchen with Stoves gas range cooker with 8 burner hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer and a wealth of small appliances. The washing machine is located in the second kitchen upstairs, which is also fully fitted with microwave/combi oven, hob, fridge-freezer and dishwasher.

Outside

The house is set inside a walled and gated plot of 2500m2, with covered parking for 2 cars and plenty of uncovered parking. The welcoming 10 metre Pebbletec pool is set in a large uncovered terrace with several loungers, which in turn leads into a furnished outside covered area with dining table and seating for 12 and plenty of comfy seating in sofas and chairs. This is the most popular seating area in both winter and summer. Upstairs the sitting room leads onto a shaded area and a huge (50sq metre) terrace, with even better views than downstairs and an external staircase for quick access to pool and garden.
