Property Description Bookmark and Share

Warmed by modern storage heaters, the open fire in the open plan sitting room adds to the charm and comfort. The master bedroom, with its large baronial-style bed, looks straight across the garden and captures the spectacular view over the loch.

In spring there are banks of primroses, in summer sun drenched views across Oyster Bay and in winter snow-capped mountains up Glen Creran. Here you can simply enjoy the peace and tranquillity of your surroundings and experience the wonderful wildlife.

Seafield Cottage is wonderfully light and bright in a very quiet situation but very convenient for Oban and the Islands of Mull, Iona, Lismore, Kerrera, Tiree and Coll. There is a new cycle path just near to the cottage and wonderful walks. Sea Kayaking and sea diving courses are available in Oban. A popular sea life centre is very close by. Nearest train station is Connel or Oban. Great restauarants for seafood in Port Appin and Oban. A magnificent long and sandy beach of Tralee is about 5 mintues away. Great for walking and rambling and bikes can be hired in the attractive village of Port Appin. A lovely easy to run holiday home.

Pets only by arrangement in advance and no pets allowed in bedrooms. This is a strictly no smoking house.
We rent from Friday to Friday. If you need to discuss any rental dates please call either Robert or Dee on 01225 484 282. Thanks

Area Description

Ten minutes drive from Oban or 2 hours from Glasgow by car. Near to the ferry port for the Western Isle in Oban.

There is also a sea plane operating in the summer that flies from Glasgow to Oban harbour.

Lots to see and do in the area - walking, hiking, sailing, kayaking in the summer and skiing in the winter. Near to Glencoe ski slopes - about 45 minutes drive. There is so much to do just around the cottage - where just a few minutes away by car is the amazing Sea Life Centre. If you are up in August there is the famous Oban Highland Games. The Mod Gaelic singing competition is another wonderful festival celebrating gaelie culture. Or you might prefer to see some of the Hebridean islands on a day trip to either Mull, Iona or Staffa. South of Oban are the ancient Kilmartin standing stones, and much more. Sea Kayaking, cycling and rambling are all easily arranged nearby.
You can fly to Glasgow and either hire a car or take a train - by car we are two hours from the airport (main one) and there are two trains a day to Oban which takes about three hours and it is a beautiful journey.
