Property Description
This house has been recently renovated to provide comfortable self catering holiday accomodation. It is in the centre of the pretty village of Barril de Alva only 3 kms from the ancient market town of Coja. The house has superb views across the valley to the mountains beyond.
The living room is in the renovated wine cellar where huge ceiling beams have been kept. It has comfortable seating for 6 people including a sofa bed, TV, DVD player, books and games. There is a patio door that leads out to the stone patio and garden terrace.
The kitchen area has a cooker, fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, iron and ironing board and all pots and pans nescessary for your self catering needs. There is a dining area with table and chairs for 6 people and a door onto the large first floor terrace where you can take your breakfast whilst looking at the beautiful views over the surrounding countryside.
There are 2 bedrooms, one has a double bed and the other 2 single beds. The bathroom has a shower and there is also a washing machine here. There is a private garden to the front of the house and a covered area with BBQ.
A deposit of 20% is required on confirmation of booking. All bedding and towels are provided, please note that beach towels are not. Prices quoted are the winter rate the summer price is £400 p/w.

Area Description
Barril de Alva has a restaurant and several cafes, a mini market and river beach which is less than 500ms from the house.
The ancient market town of Coja is only 3 kms away where you will find more restaurantes, shops, supermarkets, bank, chemist etc and Arganil is approx. 12kms where a market is held every Thursday morning.
The mountains are close by and wherever you go you will be surrounded by spectacular scenery. The Serra de Estrela is approx. 50kms and Coimbra approx. 45 kms.
Porto is the nearest airport approx. 120kms or lisbon is approx. 150kms. Car hire is reccomended.
This is a perfect place to come and unwind!
