A lovely self catering villa in a residential area; benfits from an easy 10 minute downhill walk to Funchal centre where you can enjoy the pavement cafes, restaurants and the many shops, the amazing colourful vegetable/fish market, the famous wine lodges and museums ~ all waiting to be explored. Nearby is St Catarina's Park, a quiet area with pretty gardens and ideal for watching the harbour activities below, the Desertas Islands are in the background . Several good quality restaurants are nearby and some major hotels and we offer a discounted rate for swimming at a nearby hotel. Buses run from the bottom of the road to other parts of the island, the Lido and to the large Forum shopping centre. We can arrange guided island tours by private taxi and visits to levadas and gardens. Madeira & Funchal has much to offer with its wonderful mild climate all year round.
