Come to beautiful Taboga Island, Panama and enjoy a 900 sq. foot, very private, one bedroom house, including an additional, open room with queen sofa bed and fantastic views. Both beds are queen size. We offer the best of both worlds: a lovely island retreat and a thriving city located just 10 miles away! Your own gated entrance is surrounded by night blooming jasmine and hibiscus. On your private terrace you can sway in your hammocks under ceiling fans while enjoying fantastic views of Panama City, ships transiting the canal and the surrounding islands. A large, fully equipped kitchen allows you to enjoy your own home cooked meals. You can dine in the kitchen or barbecue near your terrace dining table. It is a short two minute walk to the waters edge and restaurants.
Isla Taboga is a small island of about 900 friendly people in the Pacific just 12 miles from Panama City. This lush island boasts nice beaches, hiking trails, assorted wildlife and gorgeous flowers. Thus, the name, the Island of Flowers. It is always warm in Isla Taboga. The average daily temperature is 88F. The water temperature averages 82F making it ideal for swimming, snorkeling and fishing.
We also offer charter fishing excursions and island tours. Taboga Fishing Charters rates of $60.00 per hour (two hour minimum) are tailored for two anglers on sport fishing trips along the waters of Taboga Island with guide. Troll for dorado, roosterfish, sierra, wahoo and jacks or bottom fish for grouper and snapper around the beautiful tropical islands of Taboga, Tabogilla, and Uraba. Our custom made, 24-foot center console Super Panga with modern electronics has a large casting floor area. Taboga Fishing Charter prices include our 1st class Shimano fishing gear,(spinning and conventional), lures, tackle and guide costs.
Taboga Island is a preserve for thousands of pelicans who come to nest every year. You will also find ospreys, comorants, anteaters, cranes, iguanas, turtles and boobys. Off of the coast of Taboga you might catch a glimpse of migrating whales as well as dolphins who frequent the waters.
From Taboga Island you are only a short 45 minute ferry ride from Panama City with much shopping, historic sites and many great restaurants. There are daily flights into Tocumen International Airport with Continental, United and American Airlines, among others. From the airport you are a twenty five minute taxi ride to the heart of Panama City.
We are happy to arrange for airport pickup upon your arrival, recommend a good hotel, or put you in contact with an experienced guide for trips to the rain forest, Panama Canal or the interior. We will pick you up at the Taboga pier and whisk you up to the house. We live next door to Tres Terrazas so we are available for any help you may need during your stay!
