Property Description

Set in a large garden with olive grove, vines, fruit trees and herbs, La Villetta al Lago is delightfully furnished and restored with modern amenities, but retaining its original rustic character. It was reconstructed using traditional Umbrian materials and methods, with original high beamed ceilings giving an airy and light feel to the house. Relax indoors or on one of our terraces, or lunch beneath the spreading oak and take in the views.

We are ideally situated with so many ancient and beautiful towns and cities to explore within easy reach, with lovely shops and markets to browse around and plenty of restaurants for lunch. Our area offers a vast range of cultural and sporting activities. Throughout the year you will find feasts and festivals in the surrounding towns and villages. Trasimeno Blues and Umbria Jazz, medieval palios as in the fabulous Siena, and our own Sagra del Pesche - Fish Festival, in August. We are on the wonderful Strada del Vino, and have our local winery of Madrevite ten minutes away. Our area is also very famous for its Etruscan and Roman heritage, shown in the National Etruscan Museum in Chiusi (6 km) or to be discovered by visiting one of the preserved Etruscan tombs.
