Property Description

La Vegliela is set on it's own surrounded by olive groves, vineyards and fields of sunflowers, with superb views overlooking the valley towards Magione. The stone farmhouse is built into the hillside and has been converted to offer 2 apartments, both on ground level reached by terraced steps. We live on the first floor and will be very happy to provide any help or information to ensure you have an enjoyable holiday.

The Sala di Sotto (1 bedroom - sleeps 2)
Originally the stables, with exposed beams, large Umbrian archway and open fireplace.
Entrance hall. Bathroom with shower. Bedroom with kingsized bed (can be made into 2 single beds). Down 4 steps, through the arch, into a very large living/dining room with well equipped open plan kitchen area. Access to your private patio. TV, video, hifi.
April & May £350 per week. June £400 per week.
July & August £450 per week. Sept £400 per week.

The Studio (1 bedroom - sleeps 2)
Cosy with low beams situated by the swimming pool - ideal for early morning swims or midnight dips!
Dining/sitting room wth well equipped kitchen area. Bedroom with 2 single beds, Bathroom with shower. Patio for al fresco dining.
April & May £250 per week. June £300 per week.
July & August £350 per week. September £300 per week.

The Swimming Pool
9x4 metres, 1mtr to 2mtrs deep. Sun loungers, tables and chairs, sunshades. The pool is illuminated.

Area Description

La Vegliela is ideally situated for all sorts of holidays.

Lake Trasimeno is only 20 mins away where watersports, fishing, boating are available and a regular ferry can take you to 2 of the islands on the lake (both have restaurants).

Umbria's hilltop cities, enclosed by ancient walls and retaining their medieval atmosphere are a delight to explore. Perugia, the capital of Umbria, Assisi, Orvieto, Todi, Gubbio, also Siena, Cortona, Montepulciano, Arezzo are all within easy reach as the Superstrada (toll-free motorway) is only 10 mins away.

Day trips to Rome and Florence are possible by train or motorway within 2 hours.

Every village and town has it's 'Fiesta' with processions, dancing and local fare to sample from May to September.

Perugia hosts Italy's biggest jazz feastival in July.

Magione is only 10 mins away for all shopping, banks, restaurants, bars etc. There are also many traditional restaurants nearby especially by the lake and in the surrounding hills.

3 golf courses within 30 mins. Tennis nearby. Walking. Cycling.

Umbria has beautiful warm weather in Spring and Autumn. During June, July and August temperatures are around 30 degrees. It is famous for it's wine and food. The people are friendly and welcoming.

There is much to see and do but you may prefer simply to relax and spend a lazy day by the pool!!
