Villa Fosciana is a newly restored luxury villa with a large swimming pool in private grounds of fields and forest of particular interest to lovers of nature. The owner is a well known naturalist and guests will love the atmospheric grounds of the estate. Villa Fosciana is in the National Park of the wonderful Garfagnana area, arguably the most scenically beautiful part of Tuscany. Set above the village of Pieve Fosciana, with fantastic views from every angle of the house, the villa is the perfect refuge from the stress of modern living whilst being near the market town of Castelnuovo and the numerous other villages of the area. The villa has 3 bedrooms, all en-suite and with doors to the outside terrace and pool. There is also a small 1 bedroomed house a few metres away, which can be rented with the villa to increase the capacity to 9 people. The infinity pool is large, 10x 7 metres, with a spacious solarium situated by the ground floor of the house with views all round.

Area Description
Garfagnana is the best area in Tuscany for walking. We have connections with a local outdoor activities centre, which offers guided walks and climbing, canoeing and world class gorge walking amongst other things. Gafagnana is also famous in Tuscany for the great value and quality of its food, usually made using the best of local ingredients. A full midweek lunch including coffee and wine is usually 9/10 euros, with an evening main course typically costing 7-10 euros. We give detailed information and recommendations. From Pisa to Lucca , then Castelnuovo. Detailed directions will be given. An English speaking mini-bus airport pick-up service can be arranged at a cost of 90 euros e/w.
