Property Description

The Pitrali Pool Apartments are set in pretty gardens just under 2 kms from Cala Girgolu Beach, a picture postcard arc of sand edging a turquoise sea, rather quaintly serviced, when we visited in high season, by a small boat which stopped by, serving gelato (ice cream), cold drinks and coffees from its deck.

The three pastel lemon and natural stone apartments share a lovely swimming pool (10m x 5m) bordered by paved and lawn terraces which is fenced and gated, for the peace of mind of those with small children. Keeping one apartment for their own occasional use, the truly charming Sardinian Doctor owners are looking forward to welcoming their English guests to the remaining two apartments. Both have been tastefully furnished to maintain their light and airy appeal and offer ideal holiday accommodation. The kitchen areas of the open plan living rooms are both nicely tiled with stained wood units and equipped with a full cooker, microwave and fridge/freezer, with a dining table nearby for the occasions when you aren?t eating outside and a sofa and chairs. There is a washing machine in both tiled shower

Pitrali Sea View Apartment

On the upper level, the highlight of this apartment is its sizeable tiled terrace with wonderful sea views over the rooftops. French doors from this terrace open into the living area, furnished in simple and summery style with a rattan sofa and chairs, TV (with satellite reception), DVD player and small dresser.

The kitchen area is prettily finished in a combination of neutral and aqua tiles and pine units highlighted in sky blue, a colour repeated in the dining table.

The double bedroom, to the rear of the apartment, has uninterrupted sea views across Capo Cavallo and is decorated in easy light neutral shades. The second bedroom, with French doors out to a sunny terrace has twin beds and a full sized ?day bed? for a third person. Between the two bedrooms is a shower room, where the washing machine is stationed.

The swimming pool is accessed by 3 roman steps and is 10m x 5m and has a max depth of 1.9m and a min depth of 1m.

The pretty gardens have mostly been laid to lawn with lemon and olive trees and plantings of amongst other flowering shrubs, an eye catching sky blue plumbago A purpose built barbeque in the garden is for the use of the occupants of either apartments.

The village of Monte Pedrosu is just under 1km away, within a 15 mins stroll and offers a choice of two or three trattorias, as well as a café/bar, a butcher and a minimarket but if you like to be spoilt for choice, then you won't be disappointed by the small town of San Teodoro, just a 10 mins drive with an array of shops and restaurants and also coincidentally blessed with a vast gently shelving white sand beach that would compete on equal terms with some of the best of the Caribbean

We consider car hire useful, but please bear in mind that if you intend arriving by means of bus from Olbia Airport (4 per day) you will need to carry your luggage the last 900ms - taxis are few and far between in Sardinia.
