Property Description

The property is located at the centre of the Asinara Gulf, the Northerner part of Sardinia Island. The small Asinara Island protects the Gulf from the western winds and is a very well preserved Natural Reserve that can be reached from town by ferry.
The house, an old traditional building, is protected by thick stone walls from the outside hot in summer and cold in winter.
2 courtyards allow our guests to eat al fresco in summer . In winter we have central heating and a fireplace for logs.
The house is ideal for one/two families, large groups. Small groups are welcome

The 2 kichenettes are equipped with: fridge, freezer, oven ,cutlery, crockery, toaster, boiler. We have satellite tv, hairdryer, sliding chairs, iron, iron board, hoover.All the necessary for a home to home holiday.

Assistance by owners , if required , is given during all your staying .

Costs
The shown prices are per person per night and they do not include bedsheets and towels.
Bed sheets and towels are provided by owners for an additional price of 3 euros x night x person.
Prices are reduced for large groups, children , and long staying.
The cost of the winter heating depends on consuming.
Booking deposit : 20% of the whole cost.
Security deposit : 50 euros x person given back at the end of the holiday if the house is left, cleaning included, in the same condition it was received.

The property is located only few minutes away from a mixture of sandy and rocky beaches on the outskirts of the old town. 10/20 minutes drive away you will find more beaches.
Close to the house is a beautiful long promenade which leads along the coast to a pine wood.

If you fancy something a bit different Asinara Island, a natural park resort famous for the white wild donkeys, can be visited leaving by boats from the nearby harbour

If asked Italian classes and cookery classes can be organised.Learn the language cooking Italian in the traditional way.


Local Specialities

Sardinian cuisine is about fresh ingredients, simply prepared and complimented by a good wine. Around the resort areas, restaurants serve your standard pasta, pizza and salad menus, though for a truer taste of Sardinia, sample some of the seafood. Lobster and bottarga, caviar made from mullet eggs, are just a few of the things Sardinia does well. Roast pig is an example of how simple preparation allows for maximum taste. You can?t leave the island without trying some sheep and goat milk cheeses that Sardinia is famed for. For something a bit sweeter, try one of their many pastries. When it comes to wine, there?s no shortage of choice, from hefty reds through to fruity whites and sweet ?moscato? .

*May sees the celebrations of the 3 Saints Proto Gavino and Genuario, patrons of Porto Torres , with a street procession and 3 days of street market
*Christmas and New Year celebrations are also full of entertainments and a fireworks displays in Alghero welcomes the New Year.

*Throughout the year there are many inland festivals that are within easy reach by car: : I Candelieri and la Cavalcata Sarda in Sassari, La Sagra Del Redentore in Nuoro , la Festa di Sant?Efisio in Cagliari. On this occasions peasants dressed with traditional costumes parade in a jubilation of traditional dances and folk songs.

Olbia ferry boat harbour from Rome Civitavecchia, Livorno , 90 minutes by car.

Santa Teresa di Gallura ferry boat harbour from Corsica 60 minutes by car.
