Property Description

Le Pietre is rural stone building, comfortable and informal, ideal to enjoy the peace and quiet of the Italian countryside.

The land is surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, and it’s located only a few minutes drive from Bolsena lake. The small towns of Marta, Montefiascone and Capodimonte are all within 15 minutes drive. The coast is reachable in less then 1 hour drive.

Viterbo Hotbaths 30 minutes drive from Le Pietre

Of the half-dozen wild spas in the region, this may be best known and the easiest to find, just off the main road as you head toward the town of Tuscania among a smattering of Roman ruins. The four pools, of varying temperatures and sizes, are set into a gentle white knoll. Heaps of steam waft from a fenced-off hole atop a hill channeling 140-degree water to the pools.



Saturnia Hotsprings 1 hr 30 minutes drive from Le Pietre

Saturnia itself is a charming medieval village and the surrounding, unspoiled hills are filled with olive groves and woodlands rich with Etruscan remains. It is about an hour and a half from Rome, an hour from Siena, and a half-hour to the sea. The area has a reputation for high standard of restaurants and trattorie.

At the foot of the hill lies a hot (37°C) water spa famous for its therapeutic qualities.



The Etruscan Coast 1 hr drive from Le Pietre

Here awaits a land boasting kilometres of unspoilt beaches and an abundance of archeological treasures, thermal spas, forests, historical villages and a mountainous landscape all just a few steps away from the sea. The area consists of six neighbouring parks, throughout which traces of an animated history of the last 4000 years can clearly be seen. Within these parks there are many interesting walking routes and trails.

Siena 1 hr 30 minutes drive from Le Pietre

Situated 322 m. above sea level in the heart of Tuscany, this town is built on three hills, maintaining its medieval appearance characterized by narrow winding streets and noble buildings. Of Etruscan origin, it was a Roman colony with the name of Sena Julia; its importance grew in the Middle Ages, first as the seat of Lombard gastalds, and then of Counts under the Carolingian domination.
