The nearest village, Kealkil is 2 miles and has a shop and 2 pubs. The nearest town Bantry is a 15 minute drive, and has a supermarket, gift shops and lots of restaurants and pubs. Gougane Barra Forest Park is nearby and is a location worth visiting for a walk with either the dogs or children, it is threaded through with great streams to play in and lots of picnic areas. It has a very Lord of the Rings feel about it! There are sandy beaches at Barley Cove and Toormore which are within an hours drive of the property. Lots of fishing(river,lake and sea) in locality.
Sandy beaches within an hour's drive at Toormore Bay, Crookhaven and Barley Cove. However there are lots of other pebbley and smaller beaches much more locally to the property.Lots of Golf courses in locality, the nearest is in Bantry, and another excellent one in Glengariff, both of which are within 15 minutes drive of the property.
There is lots of course, river and sea fishing in the locality. also whalewatching within an hours drive. Horse riding nearby. The property is ideal for walkers or keen cyclists.Bantry 8 miles has all facilities, banks, super markets, pubs, restaurants,cinema. Also Bantry House and the Spanish Armada collection.
