Property Description

La Joanne and La Chouette each have 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a sunny and spacious kitchen/dining room/living* room. Equipped with washing machine, good sized fridge, dishwasher, cooker, micro-wave, DVD player, radio/CD player, WIFI access inside. Outside: barbecue, plunge-pool (shared), some games, cats, dog, chickens and sheep, a few games and plenty of space. Owners are on site in the main house across the courtyard. Linen provided. Area Description

The area is called the Perche, full of pretty villages, rolling countryside, forests and cultural interest. Famous for the magnificent Percheron draught horse, and gastronomic Norman delights: apples, cream, cider, calvados, camembert and other cheeses, black and white pudding etc. We are far enough south to be warmer than Britain without suffering from forest fires, but still very green and not too touristic. In easy reach of Le Mans and Chartres. Possible day trips: the Mont St Michel, Bayeux, the Normandy seaside, Monet's garden at Giverny, the national stud at Le Haras du Pin, the chateaux of Chambord and Chenonceaux (Loire and Cher), Versailles, Paris. Intrepid people have done Eurodisney.
