Property Description
Canal View cottage has fabulous views over the Canal du Midi and vineyards. A lovely well equipped cottage sleeping 4 in a double and twin bedroom (cot is available on request). TV, DVD player, HiFi & Wi-Fi.

The cottage overlooks the canal and canal lock offering hours of entertainment as the boats navigate their way throught the lock. Far reaching views towards the mountains and over the vineyards.
There is a restaurant/bar within 200 metres if you don't want to cook and also a Bar in the village square.
Close to Carcassonne medieval old town which is packed with history, walks and restaurants and shops. If you want a holiday with a mix of history, chateaux, walks, wine and sunshine, then look no further.

Area Description
We are situated in the south of the Minervois in the Aude department of the Languedoc. Everywhere you look there are vineyards and great views. Marseillette is a small village of approx 700 people set alongside the canal but close to Carcassonne and a great base to be for visting the region.
Spain is only one hours drive away and approx 40 minutes to the mediteranean sea.
All the local villages offer restaurants and historical buildings. No shortage of walks, bird watching, chateaux to visit, lakes, gorges, caves etc. A great place to cycle around and bikes can be hired from various places in the area.
Carcassonne has a beautiful 18 hole, Par 71 Golf Course. Half sets can be hired.
