Whilst in open country the house is within 10 to 14 kms of 4 beautiful towns of Beaumont , Villereal, Issegeac & Castillones and only 25mins away from Bergerac with its airport and modern shopping facilities .The commune of Ste. Sabine, 3kms away, has 3 restaurants, one Michelin starred,a wonderful boulangerie, a tennis court & post office.
Les Frenes is the ideal centre for a family holiday with something for everyone.
The 11m x 6m swimming pool ,with an overall depth of 1.5m is perfect for playing games and with its saline system there will be no nasty chlorine smell and no red eyes. The 3mx3m paddling pool with a depth of 300mm is perfect for little ones . Both pools are surrounded by a secluded, safe, walled sunny terrace. Boules, table-tennis & outdoor badminton are also supplied. The gardens are large , peaceful and perfect for relaxing in.

The immediate area around the house has plum orchards and rolling countryside with lots of gentle walks and wonderful views and sunsets.
The local towns, mostly bastides, are full of interesting history and quaint markets , one for each day of the week.
Beaumont has its fresh water well inside its fortified church.
Monpazier, the best preserved of all the Bastides, has a wonderful medieval market hall and grain measures.
Monflanquin has links to the Black Prince and so it goes on. Lots to explore and things to see.
BERGERAC our principal town has a modern shopping area and also a interesting old town. There are shops and resaurants to suit all tastes and pockets.
