Sleeps 5/7. Two bedroom luxury wooden beach house in Croyde. Very family and pet friendly! Set in large private gardens and recently refurbished, with off-road parking for 2 vehicles. There is a decked area in the back garden, complete with garden furniture. A great sun-trap for relaxing! 1 double bedroom, and 1 with double + single bed. Additional large sofabed in living room. Light and airy open-plan living area, inc. large wood-burning stove (with optional fireguard), comfortable seating, and a separate dining area. The newly fitted kitchen has all mod cons for your convenience, inc. electric oven and hob, dishwasher, and washing machine/dryer. Croyde's Blue Flag beach is only a ten minute walk through the sand-dunes. Croyde village is also ten minutes walk. The excellent Saunton Golf Club, and Braunton village with all its lovely independent shops plus a new supermarket, are 5 mins drive away.
Electricity, heating, linen and towels are all included. Highchair and cot provided.

Bedrooms: Bedroom 1 with double bed.
Bedroom 2 with double bed and full-size single bed.
Both bedrooms have ample wardrobe and drawer space, and have wall-mounted panel heaters.
Additional large double sofabed in living room. All linen + pillows provided.
Bathrooms: Newly fitted large bathroom containing washbasin, toilet and a full size bath with shower attachment. There is also a separate shower cubicle with an electric shower. There is a heated towel rail, and towels are provided.
Kitchen: New fully fitted kitchen including washing machine/dryer, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, and electric hob/oven. Kitchen is well equipped, with a full range of crockery, glasses, pans and utensils. Iron and ironing board, and clothes airer.
Living Rooms: Spacious open plan living area with log burning stove + fireguard. It has comfortable seating for 5, a double sofabed, plus TV with Freeview, DVD/CD player, DAB radio, books + games. Dining area with new John Lewis table and 5 chairs. Highchair provided.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service: All towels and linen are included, including bedding, bath + hand towels and tea towels. The property is professionally cleaned once a week, when linen and towels are changed.

Notes on accommodation
Woodburner plus electric panel heaters in all rooms. Heated towel rail in the bathroom.

Accessibility
Inside, the house is all on one level, except for a small ramp between the sitting and dining areas. The bathroom has a small door (2 feet wide). There are 2 steps up to both the front and back doors. Ample parking for larger vehicles. Large flat private gardens, mostly lawned. Croyde village and beach are only a short level walk away.

Outside
Good sized private garden with lawns and a sheltered sitting area. The garden is ideal for sunbathing or simply relaxing with a glass of wine.
It is completely enclosed and small children and pets can play in safety.
There is a deck patio area with table, parasol and chairs for dining and relaxing outside.
Private Parking for 2 cars (drive + verge).
There are plenty of drying areas for wet suits and outdoor gear under a covered car port and on a rotary line in the garden.

Area Description

Coast/Beach
The famous Croyde Blue Flag beach is only a ten minute walk through the dunes. Perfect for everyone from young families to serious surfers.
Putsborough and Woolacombe beaches are only a couple of miles away.
Saunton Sands beach is 5 minutes drive away, and attracts kite-surfers and surfers. All these beaches have good cafes and facilities.
Baggy Point and the Coast Path provide excellent walking, with truly breath-taking views. Great for dog walkers too!

Golf
The excellent Saunton Golf Club is 5 minutes drive away.

Saunton Golf Club is home to two of the great mature links golf courses of the World. The pair of Championship courses is located in the Braunton Burrows of North Devon less than ½ mile from the Atlantic Ocean set in the towering dunes that form the backdrop to their magnificent location. The basis for the present East Course was laid out under the direction of the renowned course architect W. Herbert Fowler in the 1920?s and so began the reputation as one of the finest links courses in the country.

A relaxed and warm welcome awaits all visitors and, unusually for a members club golf, tee times at the weekends are normally available on one or both of the courses.

Travel
Car is recommended, but not essential. Croyde beach, sand dunes, village and the Coast Path are all walkable from the house.
There is an excellent bus service from the main road to Braunton, Barnstaple, and Ilfracombe among other places. There are even open-top buses too!
The nearest train station is at Barnstaple, linking to the national rail network.
Nearest airports are Exeter, Newquay and Bristol.

Distances
Croyde village is a short level walk away, with a village grocery shop, post office, and a good range of surf shops. It also boasts some excellent pubs and restaurants, such as The Thatch.
Braunton is 4 miles away, and has a great range of independent shops (groceries, post office, hairdressers, toy shops etc). There is also a large superstore.
The larger town of Barnstaple is 10 miles away, with all the large high street shops you would expect, plus a cinema and theatre. Train station
