Property Description
PEI's Sunsets and Sea Lights is a new 3 bedroom oceanfront beachhouse. Custom designed and built to take advantage of the picturesque scenery. This is the place to enjoy your well earned vacation. The house has been awarded a 4 star rating by Canada Select.
The Confederation Bridge an amazing engineering feat, the mesmorizing light of SeaCow Head lighthouse, lights marking the ocean channels and city lights from our neighbors in New Brunswick all compete for attention with the unbelievable romantic sunsets.....
This unique beach house has been professionally decorated in keeping with the style of a vacation by the sea. To captivate the views nature created, the living room and fully equipped kitchen, surrounded by large windows, are located on the second floor. You even have the romance of a fireplace in the living room, if you wish. A large deck with propane BBQ and outdoor dining area are just a step away. A bathroom with shower, as well as a queen size bedroom is also on this floor.
The main floor contains; the laundry room, a full bathroom with separate shower and extra large tub, a queen size bedroom and another bedroom with 2 twin beds.
Living Area
When you sit on one of the leather furnishings, you'll not only find yourself comfortable, but you'll enjoy the different view of the ocean, Confederation Bridge or the back potato field from all the windows which surround you. The gas fireplace is sure to add romance and relaxation, even if you don't need the warmth during the summer months.
As if, the cathedral ceiling, the brightly painted walls and the large windows aren't enough, go sit on the large upper deck.
Kitchen Facilities
The kitchen and living areas are adjoined. Therefore, the same beautiful sights await you. The kitchen is fully equipped and should you feel like preparing meals even baking, all the equipment awaits you. A dishwasher is always nice especially when you are on vacations. If you are in a rush for your meals, use the microwave oven.
How about a BBQ? The large upper deck has a gas BBQ
and a patio table with chairs.
Outside
The only thing you will need to decide is whether you would prefer to walk on the beach or to admire the sights from the hammocks on the large lower or upper storey decks. The beach house is on the Northumberland Strait where warm water awaits you - perfect for castle building. The water near the shore is shallow, making it great for children to swim. Bring your own kayak or canoe or kite surfing equipment and launch from the beach at the front of our 3 bedroom beach house.
The location of the beach house is perfect no matter what you plan on doing. The beach, at the front of the property, is accessible by stairs. The beach is always different. At times, it looks tranquil like a lake, other times the crashing sounds of the waves are yours to enjoy. Changes of tides occur every 12 hours. At low tide, you can walk forever before you reach swimming depths.

Local Activities
Whether you are going to visit the popular sights of the Island or play some golf, everything is within easy reach (Chelton Beach Provincial Park 5 minutes, Summerside 20 minutes, Cavendish 35 minutes and Charlottetown 50 minutes). This year the Canada Games will be held on the Island.
If you are interested in some “off the beaten track” adventures and meet the friendly people of the Island, we have some interesting activities to suggest. How about: a day fishing for Malpeque Bay Oysters? Yes, the same procedure is followed today as was hundreds of years ago to fish oyster. You have the opportunity to go offshore in an oyster “dory” boat and find out how things are done.
Wouldn’t your children enjoy time learning how to sculpt a sandcastle? Yes, days gone by are back again, building sandcastles on the beach. One of the Island’s leading artists, Maurice Bernard, will give you full instructions and have you create an amazing sandcastle within 2 hours.
Or maybe you would prefer to go on a treasure hunt. The Island offers an interesting way to find people and places, unknown to most tourists. It involves the use of a GPS (Global Positioning System) to locate the “treasure”. The GPS gives you latitude and longitude coordinates as well as the direction you are traveling. You never know what you may find at the end of the day, but surely you’ll have fun.

This is an immaculate, beautifully decorated two-story home right on the water. The beach is only 100 yards away down a short set of stairs, and is very safe for children to explore. On the other side are potato fields stretching to the horizon, and the neighboring houses are well separated. The owners had thoughtfully left some gifts and toys for our children which were much appreciated! The home has a large deck on the second floor with a barbecue and is a perfect spot to enjoy a seafood dinner and watch the sunset each night.

We had a lovely time at your seaside house. Everything was just as you said and more! The sunsets from the top deck were spectacular and the mosquito netting did the trick on those nights when you just wanted to sit out and enjoy the evening without getting bitten. On a clear night we could see the confederation bridge. It was very peaceful and relaxing and exciting and exhilerating on the nights when the weather was stormy and windy. Quite the view!
The beach house was not far from all the conveniences and it's location made it easy to go to other parts of the island for the day.
All the amenities were there and once we figured out the recycling system we were fine. The rooms were all tastfully decorated and comfortable.
Our little four year old keeps asking when we can go back to our house in PEI.
Thank you for sharing your home with us! We will be back!

This is a wonderful property and a wonderful family vacation. It is the most beautiful cottage in the area, the decorating inside is gorgeous. It is full of personal touches, and feels like home. Everything we needed was there, from a washer and dryer to beach towels and toys. Games, movies and books for entertainment, a fully stocked kitchen with all the little gizmo's that one may need. It was extremely clean and bright, the neighbors were friendly and at the same time we were isolated and could enjoy being alone as a family. The beach is red sand and full of discoveries for the kids, much exploring and digging to do! The location is very close to all things and easy to get to and from. We loved Cavendish water/fun park and Avonlea Village, great fun! Cavendish beach is also top notch! The show 'Anne' in Charlotte town was terrific too. Our children still talk about this vacation and all the fun we had! PEI, the cottage and all there was to do exceeded our expectations! Thank you for this amazing holiday...
