Property Description
We often looked for a holiday that would provide quality self catering accommodation with the use of a swimming pool, whilst having our own privacy and perhaps the opportunity to meet fellow travellers to share the odd story with over a glass of wine. An easy brief but we found it so hard to find! Therefore we decided to create it ourselves, within walking distance of one of the most authentic villages in the Luberon. Adjoining our own newly built home and set in a former olive Grove and fruit orchard, our two, one bedroom gites, each sleeping two, enjoy wonderful views over the surrounding countryside and Luberon hills. We are on hand to welcome you and offer any information you require to enhance your holiday.

Local Activities
St Saturnin Les Apt
This unspoilt village has a population of just over 2000 people, many of whom live here throughout the year, making it more vibrant out of season than some of it’s more touristy neighbours. It is a true Provencal village retaining much character dominated by a medieval ruined castle with its ramparts and towers and the 17th Century Windmill. Narrow streets, old stone houses with their original doors, water fountains and a central square, which is shaded by plane trees, all create a peaceful ambience.
The village has a market on Tuesday where you can buy fresh local produce as well as Provencal gifts, wine and clothing. There are also traditional ‘fetes’ celebrated, when there are displays of art, antiques and flowers in the village as well as the famous ‘Vide Grenier’ (similar to a car boot sale), which takes place annually on Bastille Day. The Fete Votive, three evenings of music and dancing takes place in August.
There are three bars, two hotels and five restaurants providing casual and more formal dining. An excellent Charcuterie, two Boulangeries and a ‘Spar’ supermarket offer a wide variety of products and there is also a chemist, Post Office, cash machine and newsagents.
The area, has been noted for its Olive Oil and the local Moulin, which has a small gift shop, is just outside the village as you approach from Apt. Sylla, the local wine co-operative sells excellent Cote du Luberon and Cote du Ventoux wines. It also has an excellent gift shop and ‘Cheese’ restaurant.
Locally to the village it is possible to indulge in a wide range of leisure pursuits, including tennis, horse riding, paragliding, cycling and hiking.
