Property Description
Situated in the beautiful surroundings of the Loire Valley, this tastefully converted stable set around a courtyard, provides delightful holiday accommodation and enjoys magnificiant, unspoilt views across the Esves Valley. The cottage has full central heating for the cooler months at no extra charge and has a private, enclosed garden with built in barbecue for perfect alfresco dining. Owners Rebecca and Alain are on site and are happy to offer any advise needed during your stay.This is a truly get away from it all and relaxing location, yet just minutes from the little town of Descartes, home of the famous philospher Rene Descartes. An excellent touring base for cultural events as you are very near the medieval town of Loches and Montresor, one of the prettiest villages in France, yet within easy reach of the famous Loire chateaux including Chenonceaux and Amboise. The cottage is only 45 minutes away from the dazzling Futuroscope theme park with its spectacular lazer show.
Cussay our friendly village is 2 miles away where you can buy freshly baked bread and croissants. The Pont Neuf is our local auberge which offers excellent food in very comfortable surroundings with good service. The village holds an annual 'fete du pain' with a brocante the last weekend in August. Cussay also has a free tennis court and small free fishing lake( ideal for children)and a new children's park.

Additional price information
Price includes cooking gas, electric, coffee machine, kettle, toaster, washing machine, bed linen, constant hot water. Adult bicycles. We also ensure that the cottage has the following items for your arrival, toilet paper, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, dustbin liners, tea towels, salt, pepper, oil, coffee, tea and milk. There is also cleaning material for your use.
Final day cleaning service if required is an additional £40/50€.
Terms and conditions
A 25% non refundable deposit is required to confirm your booking, the balance is to be paid 8 weeks before the start of your holiday. The full balance will be due immediately if there is a period of less than 8 weeks before the start of your holiday.
A £250/300€ security deposit will also be required. This will be fully refunded if you leave the cottage in the same condition as you found it.
Rental of the gite is from 4pm on the day of your arrival to 10am the day of your departure.
Bookings are usually from Saturday to Saturday, however other start days are possible on request.
Local Activities
Aquatic centre: 10 minutes Magnificiant swimming pool complex of 5 pools for all the family. Price range of 2€-4€ per person per day. Crazy golf, canoeing, tennis, animal park, children's play area and pentanque.
La Recreation: 25 minutes A leisure park with children in mind. Go karts, scooters, slides, water slide, monkey swings, obstacle courses, play areas for small children, farm animals, picnic and barbecue area.
Lac de Chemille sur Indrois: 25 minutes: A natural lake with supervised swimming during July and August. There are pedalo boats, fishing, poney rides, tennis, bars, restaurant and riverside walks.
Beauval zoo: 40 minutes . This zoo really is worth the drive they have the only white lions and tigers as well as elephants, giraffes, kangaroos, a variety of snakes, birds, a fantastic water show and bird show. An area for children to wander through and touch the smaller animals.
Mini Chateaux: 40 minutes This is a wonderful minature park of 43 scale models of the Loire chateaux set in 2 hectares of landscaped gardens. This is the perfect way for children and adults to discover the history and castles of the area.
Fantasy Forest: 40 minutes A fun packed day out for all the family. Adventure course high above the groung through the forest. Painball, devil karting, jet ski; quads, plus play area for children up to 12.
Futuroscope: 45 minutes Futuroscope is a fantastic day out for all the family. It focuses on moving image, the magic of 3D, cicular cinema as well as virtual reality simulator rides. There is an amazing lazer show to finish the day which really should not be missed.
La Haute-Touche: 45 minutes This is the largest zoological park in France set in 500 hectares of forest land, with over 100 species of animals from 5 different continents. The park can be visited on foot, bicycle or in the comfort of your own car.
