Property Description

The Granary is the most compact of the three Sakli Vadi cottages.

The cottage nestles in it’s own garden behind high walls for absolute privacy. At the western end is a rock garden with a myriad of flowering plants and shrubs.

Living Area

The accommodation consists of an entrance hall into the fully fitted kitchen. Off the kitchen is the shower room. Also leading off the kitchen are double doors into the combined lounge and double bedroom. One of the period features of this cottage is the corner hearth. These large fireplaces were used to generate both warmth and to cook on in years gone by.

Kitchen Facilities

The kitchen is fully fitted and complete with all the crockery, cutlery, a microwave, pots and pans needed for two persons sharing. There is a four burner hob for those who wish to cook and a fridge to keep food and drinks cool.

Outside

The patio is on two levels. On the higher level there is plenty of room to lie out and sunbathe. Then, step down under the pergola into a private terrace where chairs and tables are provided for those quiet, leisurely meals or peaceful sundowners. On this lower terrace, under the shaded pergola, is a traditional Turkish fireplace with bench seats. The fireplace is fitted with a barbeque and is the ideal place to while away those long summer evenings after a quiet dinner. A twenty yard stroll from the secluded garden brings you to the plunge pool and kosk (wooden Ottoman seating area)area above The Byre.

The Kaya Valley is one of the most beautiful in the area. Sakli Vadi cottages are located at the very western end of the valley, in the tiny farming hamlet of Kinali.

The cottages are ideal for visitors who want peace and quiet. The valley is ideal for walkers, painters, camera buffs, cycling, jogging or just simply chilling out with a book.

Other Information

In Kaya Village is the Ghost Town, made famous by Louis De Berniers book Birds Without Wings. For those wanting night life, Fethiye, Hisaranou and Oludeniz are only 20-30 minutes away.

Fethiye has a very good selection of shops and good natured baragining is expected ! There is a spectacular waterfront with restaurants, bars and hundreds of fishing boats and traditional wooden passenger ghulets, always available for day trips. For those looking for a bargain, the open air Tuesday Market in Fethiye is a must.
