Property Description

The Forge is one of three properties owned by Sakli Vadi (Hidden Valley) cottages. The Forge is truly an upside down cottage ! The cottage is situated just below the other Sakli Vadi properties, The Byre and The Granary and was bought in 1995.

The cottage is designed to accomodate two persons sharing the single master bedroom.

The balcony off the lounge upstairs faces west and is perfect for sitting, chatting or reading and, with a sundowner, watching the wonderful sunsets over the hills looking towards the sea at Gemiler Bay, four kilometres away.

The Forge has become a favourite holiday cottage for honeymooners over the years.

Local Activities

The Kaya Valley has something for everyone. If it's peace and quiet you want, then just curl up with a good book. The valley is ideal for walkers, joggers, cyclists, twitchers, painters, photographers and history buffs. The area lies in what was the ancient Kingdom of Lycia. There are fantastic ancient ruins to be seen at Xanthos, Tylos, Letoon, Kadyanda, Patara and Pinara, less than an hour's car drive away.



If shopping is your thing, then Fethiye has a large range of boutiques and shops to rummage in. Good natured price bargaining is always expected.The open air Tuesday Market in Fethiye is a must. The waterfront in Fethiye is great for a stroll amongst the bars and restaurants, where you can book a boat trip on one of the many traditional wodden ghulets.
