Property Description

Boko Boko Bungalows – where the nature give you a cosy home.

Enjoy your private Africa holidays in a beautiful tropical garden. Just 5 big cosy farmstyle bungalows, each with own roofed terrace and view in the gardendjungel, are the guarantee for private holidays very close with the nature.

The Boko Boko offers bed and breakfast. For your compfort Boko Boko runs together with the old traditional Seychelloise Restaurant “Porini” which means “bush” in suaheli and where you can get your lunch and dinner. Aswell, there is a small pool just for our holiday guest, sourrounded from flamtrees, franchipani-, palm- and baobabtrees.

The big tropical garden is even home of a lot of african animals, like wounderfull colored birds, treefrogs, diverend lizards and geckos, terrapins, tortoise and hundreds of butterflys.

From time to time some monkeys are visiting the garden and steal some fruits from the tress.

Next to the “Porini” restaurant is the home of our 4 Aldabra Giant Tortoise and in a save area there are some big nilcrocodile.

We don´t have an animateur or a disco for your entertaiment, we only have the african nature in our garden and arround the Boko Boko. If you are looking for holidays in nature, away from the normal touristic hotels, you are most welcome to enjoy Africa with us.

Living Area

Every Bungalow has his own terrace and a beautiful view in the tropical garden or to the pool!
As well there is a toilet and a shower in every bungalow. All cottage have a minimum living and sleeping area from 8 sq in (52 square meters), one bungalow has two sleeping rooms and a living area!
For your conveniences you can get double or twin bedrooms! It´s even possible to rent a single room!

Kitchen Facilities

Boko Boko offers bed and breakfast, all other meals can be ordered in the cosy Porini Restaurant witch goes together with the Boko Boko Guesthouse! If you like to stay longer than 3 weeks a refrigerator is possible!

Outside

Boko-Boko is surrounded by green bush and is located along the New Mombasa/Malindi highway in Kikambala. The environment here is characterized by Shambas (small farms) of local the Giriama tribes, with their animal husbandry and agriculture, as well as the surrounding dense Bush land. Cattle farms and sisal plantations with gigantic Baobab trees determine the landscape. Although only 25 kilometres away from the lively city of Mombasa, Africa could retain itself here still much of its uniqueness. Travelling across the land, one is rewarded with impressive pictures of the life of the Giriama. By meeting them you will know that they are friendly people, who still live their traditional life. Those who want to experience East Africa off the main tourist stream, and want to discover undisturbed the world of animals and plants of the coastal region of Kenya, will here certainly be at the right place. The variety of reptiles and birds in the Porini (bush) and its environment is impressive. The blue Indian Ocean invites not only to do swimming, to snorkel and to dive, but offers especially during low tide a unique chance for of bird watching. Different herons, ibises, snipes and with some luck even African Fish Eagles can be observed from the beach and photos be taken! The Kikambala bay and beach offers the opportunity for enjoyable beach walks. For divers we offer the option to be collected from Boko-Boko directly by the diving school!

Local Activities

At first Boko Boko is the idealk place to relace and to enjoy the african nature. But it´s even possible to make long beach walks, nuture walks, biking, horse riding, diving or snorkeling other water sports at the near Indian Ocean.
There a some very special places for history and some nice nature parks are very cloce to us. Last but not least you can go for a Big Game Safari in one of the National Parks!
