Property Description

Le Colombier Cottage with swimming pool is a traditional Limousin farm cottage set in a small hamlet in the beautiful forested Ambazac hills and has been tastefully renovated, retaining many of its period features. The cottage has a double bedroom, twin bedroom, and another beautiful twin bedroom in the converted grenier (attic). The cottage sleeps 6 and is available between June and September.

Living Area

The living area is comfortably furnished with sofa and easy chairs. The room features its original Limousin fireplace. There is satellite television with all of the BBC/ITV channels and a dvd player. We have an extensive DVD library which is free to use.

Kitchen Facilities

The kitchen / dining area is well fitted with gas oven and cooker, microwave oven, toaster, kettle, fridge etc. There is also a shared freezer in the service room adjoining the cottage, and ironing facilities. Washing facilities are available at a small extra charge.

Outside

Le Colombier cottage (along with our second, smaller, cottage) shares a large garden with 30ft. kidney shaped swimming pool, boules court, table tennis, swingball and childrens swings. There is also a barbecue area here if you wish to eat by the pool. The pool and garden area is well supplied with garden furniture and sun loungers so there is no need to reserve sunbeds or that favourite spot around the pool! The cottage also has its own barbecue and garden furniture on the courtyard to the front.

Local Activities

This is one of the best walking areas in France, with the forested Ambazac hills right on the doorstep. There are numerous golf courses to choose from within 30 minutes drive.
