Property Descriptionluxury mill cottage is a holiday cottage in the grounds of ancient Watermill, within a protected forest & gorge of the Creuse and Sedelle, nestled between pontoon bridge and a cascading weir, on the banks of the river Sedelle within walking distance of Crozant village in Central France
Living Area The central area is the louge/dining area with views of river and forest through large domer windows, it has a two seater sofa and two comfy chairs there is also a woodburner and dimmer lights for romantic evenings. Finally you enter the master bedroom with king size bed, wardrobe, chester drawers and blanket chest, All beds have reading lights above them. The ground floor accommodation offers twin bedroom, with wardrobe, chesterdraws and oil filled raidator. Bathroom has large shower with multijets, belfast sink and wall heater, also there is a separate toilet with hanhbasin. There is a terracotta tiled hallway and sprial staircase leading up to the frist floor which is open plan. Kitchen Facilities The kitchen is fully equipped, with dishwasher, hob, fridge, microwave with oven/grill. Outside The cottage is detached and has its own private entrance/garden, you can access the cottage either by a ground floor door or through french doors on the balcony. Your balcony offers high level views of forest, river and stars at night. In the garden there is a small outdoor kitchen, BBQ, sunloungers and night lights. Also available for your use are two mountain bikes and canoe to help you explore the forest and rivers
Suitabilitycouples ,families Local Activitiesla Petite Folie is set in the Valley of the Watermills on the northern border of the Creuse department (23) of France central Limousin region.The mill built in 1879 is accessed by a pontoon bridge after driving down 1km lane following the river commencing at the single lane road bridge Le Pont Charraud situated roughly half-way between the towns of Eguzon and Dun-Le-Palestel. The lane after passing the mill turns into a rough track up to the local village of Crozant famous for its medieval fortress ruins on a rocky outcrop where the rivers Creuse and Sedelle meet and for its former school of Impressionist Painters such as Monet and Guillaumin.
