luxury mill cottage is a holiday cottage in the grounds of ancient Watermill, within a protected forest & gorge of the Creuse and Sedelle, nestled between pontoon bridge and a cascading weir, on the banks of the river Sedelle within walking distance of Crozant village in Central France

Local Activities

la Petite Folie is set in the Valley of the Watermills on the northern border of the Creuse department (23) of France central Limousin region. The mill built in 1879 is accessed by a pontoon bridge after driving down 1km lane following the river commencing at the single lane road bridge Le Pont Charraud situated roughly half-way between the towns of Eguzon and Dun-Le-Palestel. The lane after passing the mill turns into a rough track up to the local village of Crozant famous for its medieval fortress ruins on a rocky outcrop where the rivers Creuse and Sedelle meet and for its former school of Impressionist Painters such as Monet and Guillaumin.

Close to the borders of Indre (36) and Haute Vienne (87) all three departments provide a wealth of attractions from quite countryside towns and villages such as Argenton-sur-Creuse, La Soutteraine, Gargilesse, Aubusson and Fressilines to the hustle and bustle of a major city Limoges with Poitiers,Chateauroux and Tours within day trip range.

Theres mountain biking, walking, fishing, and horse riding with Lac Chambon nearby with beaches,bars/restaraunts,free ferry, swimming and watersports.

The road network is excellent with the A20 running north south, toll free!.Limoges has opened a new terminal building with flights from Stanstead and Liverpool and internally from Paris with car hire availble.

Famous for its undulating countryside,Limousin beef, large areas of forest, rivers and lakes full of fish and wildlife including wild boar, deer, birds of prey, dragon flies, kingfishers, woodpeckers and many others.
