Outstanding rural setting with far-reaching views across wooded hillsides, meadows and lakes. Only 3 kilometres from the historic market town of Chalus with all its amenities.

Contentigne is situated just 3 kms from the historic market town of Chalus. Chalus is half way between Limoges and Perigueux on the Haute-Vienne/Dordogne border.

The small town of Chalus has several claims to fame. Not least that it was here that Richard the Lionheart was killed while trying to plunder the local coffers and laying siege to the Chateau. He was shot in the shoulder with an arrow ? the wound then becoming infected. (No antibiotics in those days).
