Property Description

Charmingly restored village house in a tranquil Pyrenees village at 700m altitude. Perfect for relaxing, walking, discovering the Pyrenees region and immersing yourself in French rural life

Living Area

Wooden floors and beamed ceilings retain the charm of this lovely stone house and we have added the comfort with a full sized bath, washing machine and dish-washer.
The living/dining room gives on to the terrace all being situated on the first floor. There is a wood stove for cooler months, so the gite is available all year round.

Kitchen Facilities

The kitchen is fully equipped also having fridge freezer and full gas oven and hobs as well as the washing machine and dish washer.

Outside

There is a small private garden in front of the gite , a small terraced area at the entrance next to the barbecue area and a first floor terrace with dining table, chairs and deck chairs. It gives lovely views over the the surrounding open countryside and the summit of the Canigou in the distance.

Suitability

The living accommodation being situated on the first and second floors it is not suitable for people with mobility problems. Baby cot, highchair, and wath available on request.

Local Activities

Great spot for walking either in open countryside or in the beech forest behind the village, many summits possible too . Chateaux cathares from 35 min, Romanesque abbeys, dramatic gorges, local markets, wine tasting and a trip to the coast! Horse riding and river bathing possible 6km away.

Other Information

All year round let, every season has its adavantages, the summer 'fetes', spring time flowers, autumn colours, mushrooms, and ski resorts at 1hr 30 for those wishing a day or two on the slopes.
