Hodges is the ideal base from which to explore the vast and varied treasures of The National Trust and English Heritage properties, castles and gardens as well as other places of interest in the heart of the South East of England. You will be spoilt for choice!

A day in France is easy by ferry from Dover to Calais as well as various other sea routes and by train through the Channel Tunnel on Le Shuttle. Bring your current passport and pre-book for the best fare deals on 08705 353535.

Visitors are free to use the owners' grounds extending to 8 acres and providing a wide range of attractions including formal gardens with a lake, hard tennis court and an outdoor swimming pool.

Hodges is within easy walking distance of:

? Bowles Outdoor Pursuit Centre (Rock climbing, dry ski slope, etc.) approximately 3 miles.

Why not take advantage of our close proximity to London by taking in a London show? Travel after 9:30am for cheap day return tickets (Tunbridge Wells to Charing Cross). A short walk from Charing Cross takes you to Trafalgar Square, The Mall, Whitehall (10 Downing Street), Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. Walk up the Strand to Covent Garden, browse the shops (antique market on Mondays) and be entertained by the buskers. Enjoy a relaxing lunch in one of the numerous eating places and maybe go on to a matinee show performance. All this and you can be back in Hodges by early evening.
