Property Description
Colour effects of each pigment, in the walls & furnishings, tune in to the mirror like reflections of the sea. The old cottage windows frame changing seascapes - fishermen, emptying their lobster pots from their small boats on a sea as smooth as glass; in summer, ocean ripples becoming myriads of tiny prisms refracting sunlight in all directions: in winter, wild crashing waves dramatically remind of the Atlantic’s shear power and vastness. Artists, inspired, painted here. It’s a different world .
THe cottage layout goes like this -
Ground Floor - hallway, bathroom ( wet room with walk in shower, wc, basin), utility room, single bedroom with bunk beds.
First Floor - open plan sitting room, dining area & kitchen. Double bedroom with en suite.
Mezzanine - double bedroom.
Living Area
Open plan first floor living area takes advantage of the spectacular, uninterrupted sea views. The kitchen is very well equipped, the dining area has a table and six chairs and there are two sofas and a bench, lots of original oil paintings on the walls and stunning decor.
Kitchen Facilities
Although small, the kitchen is perfectly formed with a fabulous view of St Michael's Mount and the bay from the sink !! There is a dishwasher, fridge, microwave combi oven, induction hob, extractor and everything else you might need to produce the perfect meal. The freezer and laundry are on the ground floor.
Outside
From the pretty cottage garden you feel you could almost reach over and touch St. Michael’s Mount and paddle your feet in the bay. Relax and watch the seals loitering in the surf on nearby deserted sandy coves fringed with wild flowers. There's a summer kitchen, a well stocked garden bar with complementary drinks , BBQ and furniture.
Think of warm evenings spent outdoors, the sound of the sea washing over the sand, the odd sea bird calling and you think of Artists Cottage.

Other Information
Marazion is a popular destination for beach holidays & water sports, including windsurfing, kite-surfing & sailing. The attractive old town claims to be one of the oldest in Britain - known as Ictis by the Romans. Mounts Bay is one of the most beautiful bays in the world. The clean, sandy beaches offer safe bathing.
There are wonderful views towards the Lizard Peninsular in one direction & Land End in the other. It is famous because of St Michael's Mount- a causeway, once walked by pilgrims, leads to the island at low tide. A short distance along the coast is the pretty village of Perranuthnoe, which boasts the oldest inn in Cornwall - a good spot for surfing! Next along the coast is Prussia Cove, the lair of the notorious wreckers & pirates, the Carter brothers.
