Property DescriptionLa Cachette B&B is close to medieval Sarlat and Domme. Situated in an elevated position overlooking the village of Grolejac with wonderful views across to the Dordogne Valley.
A short drive to the beautiful riverside villages of La Roque Gageac and Beynac. Rocamadour is an hour's drive.
Living Area We have 2 large comfortable double rooms which we have named after two of the local chateaux: Montfort: Large double room with views down the valley and a large private shower room. Fenelon: Large double room with additional single bed and en-suite shower room. Both rooms have seating and hair dryers. Our generous continental breakfast is served on the terrace or in the beamed lounge where there is a log burning fire out of season. Kitchen Facilities Outside Guests have use of a sunny terrace which is a lovely place to relax, enjoy a glass of wine, and take in the wonderful view. There is also a shady terraced garden with sun loungers.
SuitabilityCouples Local ActivitiesLocally Grolejac village offers 2 restaurants (one with bar) within walking distance, a large lake safe for swimming with a sandy beach, an excellent cycle path following the old railway line through the valley (we have 2 bikes for hire), canoe hire on the river Dordogne and a tennis court. Golf course and horse riding facilities close by. Other InformationWe are situated in the golden triangle of the Perigord Noir, close to all the beatiful sights the region has to offer. We are also close to the Lot border so it is possible to explore this region too. Visitors ReviewsWe really enjoyed our stay. The countryside is beautiful and there is so much to see and do.
