Property Description

3 bedroomed, ground floor, family-friendly, pool-side apartment at affordable rates (£199 for 1 week, £300 for 2, all season!)On-site facilities include restaurant/bar, mini-market, 24 hr reception, games room & gynasiium. Free regular bus to nearby beaches, Altinkum resort, shops, restaurants. transfers & flights arranged.

The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, ample storage in wardrobes and cabinets and an ensuite shower room. Bright and airy, it has both a window and patio doors leading onto the second terrace. This overlooks the walled garden areas to the front and side of the apartment.

The second bedroom overlooks the pool area and has two single beds, a triple wardrobe with drawers and a travel cot.

The third, looks to the gardens at the front and has two single beds and a double wardrobe with drawers.

The bathroom has a compact bath, overhead shower, toilet and vanity sink unit.

The main balcony is wonderfully shady and overlooks the pool. Facilities for younger guests include travel cot, baby change, highchair, potty, toys, books and games.

Living Area

The living/kitchen area is large, and filled with light from both the patio doors and two side windows. Curl up in the lounge area with a map, guide book or novel from the bookcase, or let the children be entertained by a DVD.

Kitchen Facilities

There is a full cooker, large fridge/freezer and is well-equipped for eating in. There is a useful water cooler, with refills cheaply available at the site mini-market. If you need laundry facilities, we have a washing machine, airer (clothes won’t take long to dry!) and an iron and ironing board.

Price includes cleaning/linen change on departure only. Additional cleaning available at cost, or use the washing machine to dry bed linen in hours on the terrace. No charge for air-conditioning, but please follow advice on maximising its efficiency.

Local Activities

The Apollon Village is a new complex, with a location offering the best of all worlds.
Quietly situated in greener suburbs of Altinkum, yet not remote as the courtesy bus will take you to a choice of local beaches, shopping and eating areas morning, noon and night. It is closest to of the small resort of Maveshir, famed for its nightly market, cheap fish tavernas, quiet beaches and beautiful sunsets. In the other direction the Temple of Apollo at Didyma, a fantastic classical site is within a 10-15 minute walk. There you’ll find some of the best restaurants and café bars in the area together with a bakery and other shops. Slightly further on is the Turkish town of Yenishar with its weekly Saturday market, public park and many shops. Slightly further still is the main resort town of Altinkum with its famed golden sands, gentle seas, restaurants, shops, nightclubs and even a fun fair! There is a list of some the bars and restaurants which are especially child-friendly (many have play equipment/parks) and all will come to collect you and return you at the end of the evening if asked!

With day trips you are spoilt for choice (and yes, all will come and collect you from close to the apartment). The famed classical sites of Epheseus, Miletus and Priene are easily accessible either by organised day trip or local bus. Bodrum can be reached by bus, coach trip or ferry. Day trips by ferry to the greek islands of Kos, Samos and Patmos. There are also lazy day cruises, jeep safaris, horse-riding, watersport and a local aquapark just 10 minutes down the road.

Other Information

With two small children of our own, the apartment contains everything needed for a stress-free holiday. The travel-cot/playpen (feel free to move it onto the balcony etc.), a highchair, potty, toilet seat, step stool, children’s crockery/cutlery large foam playmat, sand and water toys and a toybox. On-site facilities for older children include a games room with playstations/table tennis.
Level access for pushchairs is available via the pool terrace up to the door of the apartment.
