Property Description

Our accommodation has been created to offer you the perfect place to 'get away from it all!' The property as a whole is a large, old, renovated olive mill, complete with the original pressing stones. Although situated in a rural setting we are only 45 minutes from the fabulous city of Cordoba, and only 30 minutes from a water park(open mid June to the end of August). Even Seville and Granada are only a 2 hour drive.

We provide a 3 bedroom apartment which will sleep up to 6 people, which is ideal for families, there is a large terrace overlooking one of our alpaca paddocks and there is also a BBQ. There is a large 8 x 4 metre swimming pool with decked surround, parts of which are shaded in the mornings by a large eucalyptus tree and in the afternoon by the Casita . The property is powered by solar power only, so it truly is a chance to relax, although there is Freesat TV service, it is not the place to come and watch TV all day. Whilst here you can forget the email and the mobile phone, and just listen to the sounds of the countryside.

We also live on site, and run a small Alpaca farm, so there is the opportunity for children to help with feeding the animals and even take an Alpaca for a walk, should they so wish(although not in July or August, due to the heat). We also have dogs on site which you are welcome to meet and interact with and there are also cats and kittens on the farm. Please feel free to email us for further information.

Area Description

Cordoba province is truly an experience of 'real' Spain. There are many beautiful white villages that have not been touched by tourism, and also the wonderful city of Cordoba is a lovely experience and has a 'feeling' all its own. Of course there is the historical Mezquita, that is a unique experience.

Cordoba province has many different places for you to visit, from a waterpark to large natural parks, vineyards and olive mills, there is even a zoo in the city.

Cordoba fair is in May every year, and is a week long party that lasts long in to the next morning, every night.

The weather is generally good all year, April and May, and September and October being like warm spring days, and June, July and August for you true sun worshippers.

Montoro is a lovely little town, with all the amenities you will need. There is a supermarket, banks and of course many cafes and restaurants. There are many different festivals and events throughout the year, the highlight being the annual 'feria' which is held every year on the dates 7-12 October.

Our home is situated in the beautiful countryside of the Cordoba province in Andalucia. It is in the perfect spot for you to come and relax, walk and enjoy the peace and tranquillity.

A car hire is essential. The airports of Malaga, Granada, Seville and Ciudad Real are all situated around two hours drive from the house. Easyjet and Ryanair fly from many different airports to these locations and if you fly from Stansted, take a look at Ryanair, they fly 3 times a week to a new airport at Ciudad Real, with some very cheap flights.
