Local Activities

A short walk takes you to the roman bridge at the Tavira riverside where you will find an abundance of shops and wonderful restaurants.



Hop on the tourist train or take a horse and carraige ride, both of which will take you on a tour of Tavira. Tavira is steeped in history with the remains of the Moorish castle is located just over 0.5km (about 550 yards) away from our apartment. Alternatively, next to the river, sit at one of the cafes in the main square in the sunshine and just watch the world go by. The main square also has a mini outdoor amphitheatre which has entertainment during the summer months.



For the golf lovers there are is a very healthy choice of courses to be played, 5 courses which range from 5 to 15 minute short drives.



Tavira beach is accessible by a small ferry boat or there are a number of wonderful beaches ranging from a 5-15 minute drive.



Visit the amazing daily market which sells fresh fish, meat and local produce.
